Obvious dupe is obvious. Someone from the working from that website/company is trying to promote it here? laugh.gif

GenTech seems to have a choice of 3 laptops for Sagers. Is it because I'm too dumb to find the others or are there really just 3?

At least we got a few place to compare the price and service.........Just to share around
No harm if he is trying to sell or anything here .............at last we benefit if the price is GOOD

I think the early users of Sagers got their laptops from Xotic. Try checking the older posts. I could be wrong.

Another dupe? laugh.gif Can't argue with you there... You do get to compare prices. In the end... Its up to the buyer where he/she would buy from.

Malaysian users of Sager, have any of you encountered problems with your laptop before and required servicing? If you needed servicing, how efficient is the service provided in Malaysia?

I am visiting Singapore soon and I am thinking of getting a 15.6 inch with good graphics and i5. But the warranty thing is kind of a setback. Only SG users can buy the labour warranty, and I thought each time we need part replacements, we needed to pay for shipping.

Thanks.

I have had a few problems before and sent back the parts back to Mucro.

1) HD5870 died on me and the whole laptop could not start. It was my own fault because I put too much pressure on the GPU and it broke or something happened. Took out the card and sent it back to them for <RM100 (Fedex or something) in shipping. The return... they covered it.

2) Laptop battery got bloated and sent it back too... for <RM 60 (pos laju). Waiting for new one and reimbursement as they sent me the wrong battery for my model.

All in all... these Sagers are built with very high quality and if you don't do any extreme modding, they won't fail on you. If I didn't mess with the GPU and plug-in the laptop 24/7 for days on end, I would have no problems with my laptop.

You can learn a lot from these laptops... Especially how to disassemble and reassemble them. It would help you out in cutting the costs as you just send back something lighter and smaller, rather than the whole laptop. But if you're not that tech-savvy then... can't help much. laugh.gif
