If i not mistaken xoticpc doesnt do shipping outside of the US or do they? Plus if i was interested in purchasing one, i cant use cc but i need to wire transfer in order to purchase one?
Also i found that for the price your paying is well below the recommended price as displayed at xoticpc, are you entitled to some special discount? |

Not dangerous eh?and there are 3 buttons beside the power key (non keyboard) where you can set functions to. Hotkeys are standard but there's also one that turns the moniter off which i find useful ![]() Btw is the Lenovo thinkpad SL300 being sold in malaysia yet or not? corad, did you purchase it thru credit card or bank transfer?
Plus what are the shipping charges like? Does malaysia tax electronic goods which you import from other countries? Coz i'm in singapore and im interested in getting the sager from xoticpc, unfortunately they dont do direct shipping to countries outside of america and canada and they dont accept non-american credit cards. |

Ouch US223 just for shipping charges. If do bank transfer get additional discount or no since the config i did at their website adds up to USD 1736. If add the shipping charges close 2 USD 2k which is abit off my budget, plus i dont get any tech support if it spoils.

QUOTE(corad @ Dec 16 2008, 06:20 PM) the USD 223 will get a 3% reduction as well if you pay by bank transfer. For me, this laptop was still cheaper than anything else in the market with the same specs and IMHO it's build quality is superior as well Its oledi dipping.people are speculating that the dollar will dip within these few months |

QUOTE(corad @ Jan 13 2009, 09:46 AM) singapore has trade free zones, so i'm assuming that taxes won't be a problem. What's wrong with the zepto ? I think i've got a lemon since i've changed it twice and it keeps having some irritating problems from a keyboard which has flex in it to the usb ports unable to detect portable HDD (other lower power usage usb devices are fine though).thanks man .. surviving on 3-4hours of sleep nowadays i din't get the nVidia sticker on either of my sagers either. remembered see-ing some1 ask if i was doing a bulk. I'm not. Not running a business here Plus the 9650GT card isnt as powerful as i would like it to be coz i cant play fallout 3 at high settings at 1680 reso and have to settle with med which it still lags in alot of areas. |

QUOTE(corad @ Jan 15 2009, 01:36 AM) how much is your zepto ? Sing dollar 2700.bottom line: get a sager only if you're confident with computers. you can't rival the specs or the price, but you'll be forfeiting warranty. Be prepared to fix it yourself if it's broken. only if ya but the warranty is not that useful for us outside the states. it would probably be more convenient and cheaper to swap any spoilt part by ourselves. hence the "plea" to xoticpc to review their prices for international orders. If i can't give discounts, then they should I suggested a grace period of 30days for warranty in exchange for a reduction in price for orders to M'sia. Waiting to see what they say. |
