Hmm..I think my trophies loading is waaaayyy faster my friendlist trophies also loads faster...

Previously I need to wait a good 10 seconds...now the most it takes is just 3 seconds

Damn after download the previous version of 2.70...Happily bought Fallout 3, play for 30 minutes....it hang...than cant read the disc or any other format anymore....DAMN!!!!!!!

Really dont know is the firmware or the lens prb...i dont know how to pin point the root of the problem.......sigh

After an hour of experimenting yesterday night, I have came to a conclusion.

First of all, I need to appologize on saying the XMB got slower overall. Infact, it didn't really. Other than a few odd stuff that is. It actually depends ON YOUR connection, or rather if you are using streamyx the IP you are connected to.

I had a few different range of IPs and heres what I got:

118.xx.xxx = EXTREMELY SLOW friendlist loading, thus other things like viewing trophies gets bogged down.

124.xx.xxx = SLOW, about the same as 118.xx.xxx. The difference, I could get into the PSN Store a little bit faster.

60.49.xxx = Decent speed, not too bad. My friendlist which consists of about 50 friends took about 6 seconds to load.

60.51.xxx = Horrible sums it up. Nearly 20 seconds it took me to get into the PSN Store, my friendlist took nearly half a minute to load minus the avatars. Comparing trophies took nearly 40 seconds.

60.53.xxx = Great speed, but disconnects often. Probably has the fastest of all, my friend list loads in a mere 4 seconds with 50 people on it. Avatars were fully loaded in under a minute. Comparing trophies took less than 10 secs.

60.54.xxx = Nearly as fast as 60.53, but minus the disconnections.


So conclusion, technically the XMB isn't slower. Its now more dependant on your internet speed, you kinda could not view your trophies when your friendlist is loading but this issue won't be apparent to others who have a fast connection.

bro bro sekalian yang expert dgn ps3 aku tak tau camne nak update ps3 aku ke version 2.7... leh ajar tak camne nak upload guna pendrive? sebab aku guna broadband.. download dia bapak giler lama.. dah sampai tengah pastu connection error plak... pastu version nih kita nak download ASIA? 1st post has it all

1. Ko pergi sini untuk Singapore firmware http://asia.playstation.com/sg/en/support/osDetail/47060
2. Save file DAT tu kat dalam PC ko. Pastikan file tu lengkap ...... jangan download separuh pulak.
3. Plug in Pendrive ko kat PC.
4. Ko buat folder main folder name dia PS3. Lepas tu ko masuk dalam folder PS3 tu ko buat subfolder UPDATE. Lebih kurang macam inilah PS3\UPDATE. Pastikan "PS3" & "UPDATE" tu dalam huruf besar (capital letter @ CAPS).
5. Ko transfer file DAT tu dalam PS3\UPDATE.
6. Plug in Pendrive tu kat PS3 pulak.
7. Masuk menu Setting lepas tu System Update dan pilih Update Via Storage Media.
8. Ko Yes kan aje semua yang dia tanya hahahaha.

for me, 60.49 and 60.54 is ridiculously slow. 118.xxx and 60.51 is very fast!!!!

It depends on location.

60.51.xxx as I know is a Selangor IP. I'm all the way down here in KL, so I will receive bad speed.

118.xxx.xx, I'm not so sure but also should be Selangor area.

60.49, 60.53, and 60.54 is WP area. I can confrim that.

for those ip address will be in my dream to get that

only get 124.x.x.x or 118.x.x.x so far..

but 118.x.x.x is okay with my PS3

i had bad experiences with 60.51 recently

before this, all 60.xx ips are ok for me

how do you guy get 60.x.x.x?

been restart router bout 10 times still get dumb 124.x.x.x or sometime 118.x.x.x
