updated my fw to 2.70, no hiccups. just download the fw to pc and install through usb, safest bet!!! don't do through system update via wifi, knowing "Screamyx", you might get a chance of bricking your PS3 if your DSL drops midway haha

I find storage medium update is faster and more reliable all the time. Can get 154KB/s full blast speed on my download manager. Done in about 15mins. thumbup.gif

I noticed that with Firmware 2.70 installed, whenever I'm downloading anything from PS Store / game updates, there's an ETA timer counting down till the download is complete.

Is this new to 2.70? I didn't notice it with the previous firmware. unsure.gif

Sega: Outrun Online Arcade next week, contest announced

QUOTE
user posted image
Sega has announced that Outrun Online Arcade will be landing on XBLA and the European PSN next week, on April 15 and 16, respectively. The XBLA version will be available for a decent 800, and the PSN version comes in at £7.99 / €9.99 (the game isn't coming to PSN in the US). We should remind readers that publishers have revealed incorrect release dates for Xbox Live Arcade titles before, but it would certainly make sense for both versions to release during the same week.

Sega Europe also announced an Outrun Online Arcade competition, the winner of which will receive a trip to Maranello, Italy, the home of Ferrari. The competition will be a simple race to the finish line with no restrictions on vehicle choice, meaning players can use whatever cars they manage to unlock in the game. The press release even suggests that players choose the easy route offered in the game. A registration page for the competition will launch alongside the game next week.

Damnit!!!! vmad.gif And no alternative to get EU PSN games!!!

Sega, be smart and at least release it in Asian PSN!! mad.gif I am guessing there is some Antichrist company preventing its release in US PSN vmad.gif

the bolded part says something, but I would still be a little positive on an Asian release.

Either way, i'm more pissed on that trip to Italy. DAMN!

Yup. I'm seeing this feature right after I have updated the firmware to 2.70 and shortly after that, downloading the updates for Burnout Paradise.

One of the feature that is quite nifty to me. biggrin.gif
