QUOTE(Muchi @ Oct 27 2008, 12:56 AM) Lol dam you people!!!! Kei bought the very last one, eventhough he didn't take the MGS4 game with it I just realised that the MGS4 80GB bundle still supports BC when Kei told me. I wanted that to play US PS2 games, getting another Asia rig would be pointless right? D: And my imaginary Versus bundle is too far away........... Ben, no more stock mehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! QUOTE(nwk @ Oct 27 2008, 01:00 AM) i am curious to know how much the MGS4 80GB bundle costs? is it more expensive then the PS3 sony malaysia is selling now? Yes its way more expensive. They are different PS3s to begin with, more over the MGS4 bundle is imported with tax.BTW, anyone noticed that troll lightning69 got banned for 3 days? hahahahahaha Kei bought his for RM2000(or was it RM2050) IINM. |

PSN has been bloody fast ever since the break down of streamyx a week ago.
I downloaded WWE: Legends of Wrestlemania, Watchmen, and Wanted demos in just a mere 5 hours+!! If it was a month ago, it would have atleast took 12 hours. Either Sony has secretly improved their serves so much, or streamyx just loves PSN. |

QUOTE(kobe8byrant @ Mar 13 2009, 11:36 PM) Just got my trophy card Go to your Account Info on your profile, under your XMB.BTW how to edit personal message? Like 'urggghh... Nak Muntah'? Go to your profile and edit the comment on yourself. The Europe official card does look nice indeed, but I'm still sticking with my current one. |

QUOTE(kobe8byrant @ Mar 14 2009, 09:23 AM) I do like Playfire's trophy card but the fact that you update the card on your own makes it lose a tad amount of credibility. True for Playfire, because they don't check.I'm using PS3trophies.co.uk's one, which they actually... DO check. But well, be honest! trupihors FTW!1!1one1!!!! Don't know... for some reason, the official EU PSN card isn't updating for me. I pressed update, and it just returns to the same card I have 2 days ago. So of course, my trophies on my current UK card and the EU card is different.....

QUOTE(Mgsrulz @ Mar 15 2009, 06:55 PM) is this the same game? or was that already released?(i remember hearing something about a next gen update to the previous gen's riddick game, but dont remember it being released Basically almost every element is remade, some added story scenes, more gameplay and big main reason, multiplayer. But after playing the demo, its bad. Even Vin Diesel's voice can't save this game. |

I hate how the friend list is sorted out through status now. Before, it will show who is online and then alphabetically show who is offline.
Now, they show the most recent online and the one dead last on your list will be the one who is the least online. Not a major issue, but this is one of things where it goes by the saying "don't fix whats not broken". |

QUOTE(lapaq @ Apr 3 2009, 08:10 AM) They are adding another sort option...not actually fixing something that's not broken... Uhm no.you can always go to any friends and press "Triangle" then choose sort by name to sort them friends the 'old' way... p/s: I liked the new way of sorting...now only I know that I got friends who have not logged in since the last 5, 3 and also 2 months (they are at the bottom of the list)...time to delete them and add new friends instead...hehehe They are not adding, they changed it. I'm 100% sure the Status sort option was there before 2.7, because I have been using that option EVER since I bought my PS3 last year. The old sort status option: Online friends first, alphabetically. Offline friends after that, alphabetically. Now as for the sort by name option, it simply just sort all your friends by name alphabetically. Regardless if they are online or offline. If you have 100 friends on your list and you need to find someone and just so happen you have forgotten his/her PSN ID, then it'll be a hassle to find in the list now would it? As I said, not a major issue but Sony shouldn't have fixed what isn't broken. |

Anyone noticed that the PS3 has gotten... "slower" after 2.7?
First, comparing trophies with a friend has definitely gotten slower. Okay, its arguable as currently streamyx is F'd. So will have to wait until after their so called "April 5th" for them to fix their connection up. Second, after logging into PSN, your friend list will start to load. As it is loading, after stuff you do like viewing your games tend to a slight bit longer to load as well. I went into the PSN store directly after logging into PSN yesterday, and it took me nearly half a minute to enter. Before, it only took about 10 seconds max. Usually, even with crappy connection before you could do things rather simultaneously without any longer wait. But after the firmware, seems like things gotten a little bit slower than before. |

Another thing I noticed.
After I logged into PSN, I directly go to my Trophy Collection menu whilst my friend list is still loading. Now it'll take up to a good 10 seconds or even more for the list to load! Before, it was instant. |

After an hour of experimenting yesterday night, I have came to a conclusion.
First of all, I need to appologize on saying the XMB got slower overall. Infact, it didn't really. Other than a few odd stuff that is. It actually depends ON YOUR connection, or rather if you are using streamyx the IP you are connected to. I had a few different range of IPs and heres what I got: 118.xx.xxx = EXTREMELY SLOW friendlist loading, thus other things like viewing trophies gets bogged down. 124.xx.xxx = SLOW, about the same as 118.xx.xxx. The difference, I could get into the PSN Store a little bit faster. 60.49.xxx = Decent speed, not too bad. My friendlist which consists of about 50 friends took about 6 seconds to load. 60.51.xxx = Horrible sums it up. Nearly 20 seconds it took me to get into the PSN Store, my friendlist took nearly half a minute to load minus the avatars. Comparing trophies took nearly 40 seconds. 60.53.xxx = Great speed, but disconnects often. Probably has the fastest of all, my friend list loads in a mere 4 seconds with 50 people on it. Avatars were fully loaded in under a minute. Comparing trophies took less than 10 secs. 60.54.xxx = Nearly as fast as 60.53, but minus the disconnections. So conclusion, technically the XMB isn't slower. Its now more dependant on your internet speed, you kinda could not view your trophies when your friendlist is loading but this issue won't be apparent to others who have a fast connection. |
