QUOTE(botack @ Nov 27 2008, 04:00 PM) Yo,I'm a steak lover. Used to have steak and lamb chops 2 to 3 times a week in Australia. $10 for 2 rib eye from the supermarket. Yum Yum! Back to topic. Only 2 place in town I would recommend for steak. 1. Prime I frequent this place when it first opened. However, I've been hearing that their quality has dropped lately. They had this special when they first opened. RM299 for 3 steaks. About 300gram each. It was the best of steaks from 3 regions. Argentina, USA and Australia. They didn't serve the Wagyu. Not that I like wagyu anyway. Too much fats. I like a balanced meat! If you know what i mean. About 30% marble. 2. Rothman Round About. This is an old place. From my parents time. Can't remember the name but it's the corner shop at Rothman Round About. Been there a couple of times 3 years ago. Their cheese Fillet steak is amazing. Reasonable price. Others I have not tried but are said to be good. 3. Jakes near Victoria Station at Damansara 4. Japanese Steak House at Pavillion (Always full) These are proper steak house. Places like Lafite, Cilantro, 3rd Floor, etc are not. I don't justify the price at these places for steak at such high prices. |

After all these years of steak eating, nothing beats the steak at The Ship.
It is just wonderful and for a very reasonable price too |

Mmmm, for those who recommend The Ship, which branch do you go?
I think some are quite bad and some are still good. How about the one opposite BB plaza? |

I managed to find out the restaurant with the most generous yet tasty plate of lamb chops so far. Imagine $14.90 for lamb chop fit for 2 persons. And the rest of their dish are affordably priced.
It's located inside the clubhouse in a Guarded community called Gita Bayu, Serdang. Alot of bungalows and townhouses there with expatriates as residents. The problem is, you can only go dine there on weekdays, as weekends are exclusively reserved for residents only. |

QUOTE(Putraskyline @ Apr 21 2009, 11:52 AM) Kebun Mimpi > http://bukitgitabayu.com/clubhouse.htmlIf my memory has not fail me, I think yes as they're catering for the mostly western expatriates. They have different "daily specials". Been there twice at noon and happens to be on Friday... but only once able to catch the Lamb Chop at such price. Maybe if you're lucky you can get the steaks cheap too. |
