How many of you have found a good steak tartare in KL?

I seem to only recall having it locally at Bistro a Table, and the Swiss restaurant in Ampang. Would love to find some other good spots..

Yea well, you shouldn't go to Marble 8 for soup and caviar. You go to Marble 8 for their steaks. Much more reasonable than Prime. The Mandarin Grill is another really nice place for steaks too. I was quite surprised upon finding out that the sides are charged less than Marble 8.

I alrdy banned Prime long ago....

Went there with some freinds from oversea.... it was an embarrasing experience...

Mandarin Grill, was that the place they recently converted to some pseudo michellin star outfit?

1. They were out of ALL those aged/grain fed steak
2. the steak were consistently over cooked for 4 out of 5 orders.
3. Service were bad, perhaps thats because we were dressed like cina-beng and not some gwailou in suits.

Fair enough, in fact I dont think Prime is worth it at full price. I use starwood privileges for 50% off food if dining as a apair.

Eh? No la, Mandarin Grill is one of the restaurants in the Mandarin Oriental, which specialises in steaks. Just like Chambers Grill at Hilton KL smile.gif

From the place's I've tried, starting from the best :

1. Beast
2. Marble 8
3. Hanare ( only on weekend lunch buffet which serves wagyu beef cooked to order...definitely if you're looking to stuff yourself with steak at a "resonable" price ~RM180? including all the other items on the buffet smile.gif )

Avoid Prime (Le Meridien) and Chambers (Hilton) even with SPG privileges and Hilton Premium Club respectively, both which grant 50% off if 2 people are dining.
