I didn't try yet at their outlet near lowyat but have tried at Bangsar. Nothing good just normal steakhouse like TGI and Chilis.

@vincent i'd imagine any place that servers killer steaks should also be at least above average / decent on other meats like lamb - can try your luck and report back to us, ha ha.

Got the starwood card thx to putra for the referral.

Went Prime on tuesday.

I ordered the wagyu cube roll for RM280, Ordered "Simply the best" lamb RM125 for my gf.

My gf usually don't eat beef, she prefer lamb but that day she find the steak is much nicer compare to her lamb.

Both of us love, the crabcakes RM55 and the mashed potato RM15 too.

Because is my gf's birthday, my gf received a complimentary brownies with ice cream from Prime.

At 1st the bill came with RM488 on wagyu roll, told the waitress and she changed it.

Total was aroound RM380 that night, with wines.

Hmm I wouldn't really recommend "Simply the best" lamb.

fish lor. grilled cod or something would normally be a 'safe' alternative. though if you don't eat beef or lamb you might as well go to a 'restaurant' and not a 'steakhouse.'

Hai there..i don't know really about the steakhouse and all..
but at least some reference to some searching for halal and malay owner western style restaurant that are good enough to eat and all...

1) BIG FOOD restaurant in TTDI Shah Alam : ok2 la for just want to eat western in big portion. they have regular and big foot size portion that can share up to 3 person. Big glass, big plate, big portion and a variety of western food..

2) Today, i ate at BOUQUET GARNI at Bangunan Risda in Seksyen 9, Shah Alam opposite Shell. For me, a must try for people who searching western food, a little bit hotel and fine dining style..very good service, the food is absolutely delicious, the owner is so humble and nice. But u have to spend a little bit money to dine here.

Sorry for the long explanation. This is just some suggestion for people who searching for it. Just to share some experience with u all.

p/s: can drop me a pm if u want to know how to go to the restaurant.

Have a nice day!

I tried the steak at Kim Gary, it's suprisingly more delicious than the ones you can find at Chillis or Fridays, for the price u're paying quite worth it, come with soup & garlic bread & corn in cob somemore..just a recommendation..

I've only ever had the ribs in tony romas (pork in SG, beef in KL), and seems to be inbetween fridays/chilis and the 'dedicated' steakhouses. Never really tried the steak though.

Steak by Chilis is pretty disappointing lately. The steaks are cut too thin till it's difficult to cook to proper done-ness.

Chillis can never get their quality right! I guess their kitchen staff turn over too high!

Another thing is that they maybe using buffalo meat to cut cost...do check it out with that particular branch manager.
I do know some unscrupulous restaurant chains are doing that, after all most of people wont be able to taste the difference once it gone thru the marination and cooking process. sweat.gif

If you like a Chateaubriand type of steak, there's one place that serves it well - Bubu at Tengkat Tong shin at Hotel Rae.
