Maria from Damansara Perdana,
just tasted today, really suck, no offence. food portion small, very normal taste, Spagetti, like maggi mee only. i havent tasted the steak RM100+ cause i think is not worth it. RM167 Steak, per 100gram, i like WTF?? not recommended to go there. cheapest steak is also, RM50 per gram. |

@razor > no offense, but this thread is a "steak" thread, and in your restaurant review ... you didn't actually try the steak? hehe.
rm167/100gm - what kind and cut of meat is this? because this *does* seem bloody expensive. that's rm360+/220gm for which it's already the equivalent pricing of Master Kobe sirloin at Prime (undiscounted). |

just want to put my 2 cents.
I've been twice to Victoria Station in the last month, once on business lunch and once with wife. Both times we / I ordered at least one T-bone @ medium and it came out perfect. Portion was great (sure cannot finish for my wife) Tenderness was great Taste was very good, no need sauce. The marinate went deep into the meat. I've been to Germany and Denmark on business and even abroad, I can hardly find one that matches the above. Of course I always stayed under RM80 per steak locally and US50 abroad. |

That's because Germany and Denmark are not known for their steaks. Rather, they are great for pork chops and sausages.
Steaks are best in America. London has some pretty good ones as well but they are air flown into UK as well. The Angus beef is an overrated meat, which is why USDA Prime is preferred over Angus. |

Hehe I wanted to go Ruth's Chris when I was holidaying in Toronto couple of years back. Prices weren't actually that bad now that I think about it (rib eye was like cad 45? = ~myr150). But that time still student, couldn't afford it so didn't go.

I recently tried Jack's Place in Singapore, I did go for the US Prime Ribeye which was the most expensive cut there, SGD40 for a rather regular cut. Tenderness was quite good, but the meat was rather tasteless even with the minor sprinkling of mushroom sauce...
I'm still a fan of Victoria S. T-bone from 3km from my house lol.... As I'm likely to head there again I'm going to try Black Angus which after some googling came up as recommended, we'll see what my tongue feels. I'm still a fan of Victoria S.
