Yes..6400 BE has higher transistors..Eventhough you have the same clockspeed..

QUOTE(sharkeer @ Oct 17 2008, 02:18 PM) @ah_khoo is there any different if i clock my 4800+ @3.2GHz vs 6400+ BE at stock? as mentioned, windsies have lower latency than brisbies which make 'em better. but if u can do a 3.2GHz w/ < 1.45v, i think brisby will have lower temp (thou u'll have no idea wat's d real temp since brisbies come w/ spoilt dts ). 6400+ is of 125w, & trust me, it's really hot. QUOTE(sharkeer @ Oct 17 2008, 02:22 PM) is it noticable? worth for upgrade? if i were u, i replace it w/ a 8450 since ya board support phenoms... no point playin 6400+, d $$$ will be more well spent on a toliman or even a proven 3800+ f3. just my 2 cents thou... Barely noticeable. And no,not worth for upgrade. If you still upgrading better get X3 instead.Or wait X2 6500

that's the main reason why i switch.. >2 core overkill to me.. but no option avail by that time.. X2 6500 should be good..
now X4 getting cheaper.. better upgrade those.. somemore the BE got heatsink too..

I didnt look at the pic carefully, As u mark there the retention clips hook on that mobo is not at the side.. My mobo hooks are at the top n bottom same as yours, so it would blow up not to the back.. This post has been edited by cloudwan: Oct 17 2008, 03:01 PM
