review shows re performs better den standard drives on raid system...well..if u are the fan of wd...and not going for raid, y dun u pick the 640gb version?

erm..sum soft of...if i m not mistaken there is only one model for 640gb...its 2 platter and perpendicular technology hdd

don't have voltage detecter , can't check.

I saw chinese magazine before , 4 plate only +~1w different. but much lower than AAKS , YS (blue,black series).

Am buying 2 more TB hard disk. Which one you guys recommend? Seagate or WD or Samsung or Hitachi or Fujitsu ?

For heavy duty use --- buy 2 now to try out, and if they pass the tourture test, will buy 3 more later, for raid configuration.

i am not a fan of any brand, i dun need performance but want a reliable hdd, coz i already tired of keeping rma those normal wd & seagate. doh.gif

I just want to confirm whether the ES of seagate or seagate NL35 Series SATA RAID-Ready is a reiable hdd, or WD Caviar RE better.

about the wd 640GB HD --- this is my suggestion ....

DON'T BUY IT !!!

I bought one when it baru came out, within weeks, HD starts to behave strangely.

Upon checking -- BAD SECTORS !!

C'mon la ! Bad sectors??

This is supposed to be a "perpendicular recording" drive, and still bad sectors?

wat strange problem u mean? may i noe? i have been using for months and no problems up...perhaps only ur hdd kena...how do u noe its bad sector?
