i plan to buy a 1TB hdd , which brand is more better ?? western digital or seagate ??

id recommend going for the Green Power 1TB from WD... though u lack performance with this HDD u save power.

but if performance is an issue, get 2*Seagate 500GB or 2*WD 640GB and RAID 0 thumbup.gif

yea..greenpower dont perform better den those seagate 32mb or wd 640gb..not really lack..juz lose out some

So, in terms of just storage of movies, songs and etc, Greenpower hdd is okay or not since u said that it doesnt perform well?

the latest one is 333g plate (x3) , old is 250g (x4)

new one less power..

WD10EACS-00D6B0 (3plate) @RM420 bought last month~

HDD media size have settle down to 2.5" and 3.5", 1.8" probably only Toshiba is manufacturing those as of now.

IMHO, instead looking for 1.8", better spend on SSD.
