YUp,i'm from Kajang too!  laugh.gif  Changing the heasink isn't that hard just that you have never tried before. Glad to heard Phtoshop CS4 is working flawlessly on our P4 rig.

haha, next time can find u go yum cha and talk about OC-ing the proc !!! laugh.gif which part of kajang?

QUOTE(edministrator @ Jan 16 2009, 11:41 AM)
CS4 works great because you have 7600GT for hardware acceleration.
*
hmm..maybe....but i think it would work great if u have a decent GPU ......exclude doing big big file la!

i think the 3850 would be the best out of those 3 that you listed. it's the latest ati series of agp cards available now. most probably will be bottlenecked, coz running on p4 only.

btw, ray & rogue, i'm also near sungai chua only, studying at UNITEN currently laugh.giflaugh.gif

The HD3850 would perform better compare the other you listed. But since you are using P4, I guess is would be a bottleneck issue. nod.gif

I would suggest taking the X2600 or X1950 instead. smile.gif

If you have the money for the best, then take the HD3850. rclxms.gif

x1950 is pricey no worthy, suggest 2600xt

i am using right n0w so far so good btw make u no using cap palang PSU the card u listed is power hunger. (2600 performance almost = 8600Gt but due to we only using P4 so the performance will be less compare pci version.)

3850 (RM 795 kind of waste)
x1950 pro RM 530 XT RM 580
2600XT only 300

(same so buck to hunt c2d 2nd hand ><)

Since this mobo support socket 478, then your proc can be use. This mobo used DDR2 and PCIE.

If you plan to upgrade, might as well just shift to C2D platform. icon_rolleyes.gif

Wao,that's near. Maybe we can find one day gather together. tongue.gif But sad i seldom go back Kajang cause working in Penang. KahLoon is staying in Cheras area only, might invite him too if we gather.

You are correct,2600XT is a wiser choice among them. I'm doubt that 2600XT is about par with 8600GT in PCI-E. hmm.gif

you can, but your CPU will definitely bottleneck your system's performance, your CPU can't catch up even if you overclock it

Heyo.. How's everyone? laugh.gif Did not passby for quite sometimes. All ya P4 babeh doing well eh? whistling.gif Seems like u guys are planning for a new year visiting in KL side eh?

@~Rogue~
Ah.. Dont think there is a good move for shifting P4 proc into DDR2 and PCIE era as the will gona be a great overall bottlenecking in ur system. sweat.gif Just if ur not a heavy gamer and dont mind to live without DX10, 1950XT are right the corner for u. thumbup.gif One of the monster for AGP in DX9 era.
