here's some news, anyone interested to try windows 7 beta on their p4 rigs but want to download legitimately, microsoft is offering a public download for windows 7 beta, should be up today. and it's for limited number of users.

anyway, anyone installed 7 on their P4 as well??? i think i am falling in love wub.gif it's so much better than Vista...

i think it's worth the upgrade when it's RTM later on...

btw window 7 is 64bit or 32 bit? more worry on driver and game compatible problem

no problem actually, coz i just got my proc from "beginner" today, and i'm not sure wheather thats the right tempreture it should be!

I see,your mobo and proc are both working great,i assume you are at idle condition? Stock heatsink is mostly perform at that level. Between,you are from Kajang?

Long time I didn't go cybercafe. Just now went with friends, quite surprise they still using Pentium4 3.0GHz HT processor. I tot nowadays cybercafe should be AT LEAST using core 2 duo........

I guess they are not based on S478 but LGA 775. P4 3.0GHz HT is a bit slow for today's gaming.

how to see which is mobo and which is proc? yeah, its in idle condition, oooo.....coz i have no idea how to change to a better heatsink, , yeah from kajang, u also? and 1 thing, CS4 works flawwlessly on my p4rig! haha rclxm9.gif

YUp,i'm from Kajang too! laugh.gif Changing the heasink isn't that hard just that you have never tried before. Glad to heard Phtoshop CS4 is working flawlessly on our P4 rig.

Yeah, it was slow. I can't believe PCs are CC's important asset, but they still dare to use old PC...... shakehead.gif
Btw, what is the difference between socket478's P4 and LGA775's P4? I mean any performance gain when the P4 era shift into LGA775 platform?

CPU wise no difference, but there are still improvements, such as the usage of DDR2 and SATA2 that would impact overall performance also (motherboard's chipset advantage).
