what is best GC option for agp platform? looking something that can replace my 6600GT 128 mb ddr3

Play Perfectworld also only can put low setting high setting will feel laggy

Hi dude I am using a 7600GS agp card. Later cards I am not too sure whether if there is agp versions. But I feel my proc is limitting the gc performance, i dont really think upgrading is a good idea. Just my 2 cents worth.

That one is 3850 is over price for me burn my wallet

saw saphire HD 2600 XT 256mb ddr3 in garage sales not sure worth to take to replace my current card or not.

i think a 2nd hand 2600xt is quite ok..my uncle once sold it for around rm200+ only. definately much better than the 6600gt that you are using now. ati 2600xt performance should be around 8600gt performance.

Lol.. If 2600XT with D3 than it should be a boost after upgrade. Duh.. I gotta get a backup board now.. Uncle Zues just paid me a visit last night! Onboard land is died now.. Gotta sent my current mobo to warranty!

actually unless u have serious over clocked processor + some serious well timed high performance rams ,

you might want to consider upgrading from the 6600GT to anything out there. yes our gpu's are Shader Model 2.0 and nuts, but its really not worth it these days.
i have done the calculation we still lose in every aspect each time we upgrade something on our 478


only reason is that our systems bottlenecks . there was a reason why 6800 / 6600 series / x800 / x1950 was the cut off point for AGP to move into PCIE

PCIE then took over for systems with DDR2, LGA775,C2D/C2Q etc

ive been longing to upgrade my pc to play many many games so far, but im waiting for my entire system to die to move to the PCIE + DDR2 + C2Q environment

last time bought as i used to had a 3.0E GHz to run it... but ever since this one is spoilt and i stuff the card to my 2.4B GHz, really can tell the difference...
