heh... a HD 3450 cost $60+ here...
that means additional $40 gone... perhaps i juz think that $20 spend on Ultra Durable 2 instead... that doesn't sound so bad... Kinda cool... thx for the suggestion but i think i will give Atom a miss as well... it's still not the perfect platform i am looking for...though i am looking forward to VIA Nano + Nvidia mobo chipset... that will totally pwn Atom... Added on October 4, 2008, 1:14 amanyway, 1 more question: Gigabyte GA-MA78GPM-DS2H Biostar TA790GX XE which one is better?? i know using the Biostar is a bit wasteful, but it's $20 cheaper than the Gigabyte... Err... since you have a 790GX might as well get a Phenom 8750.
The 790GX has an advantage- with it, the idle power of Phenoms are really good (matching or even lower than Core 2 Quads) The Biostar one is good, actually. Better than the cheap Asus stuff. |

hey, ya, thx everyone...
went down to hoot the stuff already... Biostar TA790GX XE and Athlon x2 5200+ got 5200+ as it's less than SG$10 more than 4850e... (but 5600+ is SG$30 more than 5200+ total dmg SG$294 including RAM... (Kingston ValueRAM DDR2 800 1GB x2) the extra $6 went to eat didn't choose Phenom as it's meant to be a budget rig... (for my mum, mainly... thx everyone for your suggestions!! they are all very useful assembling now, will post again when it's up This post has been edited by astria: Oct 4 2008, 04:38 PM |
