choosing badminton shoe is almost the same as choosing normal shoes.
make sure your toes and feet have ample space to move. around the width of a thumb, then i guess it's okay

and i 200% agree on siajolene's opinion.
it's especially important for heavy people. i'm heavy so it's important for me.
good and suitable racket will does not make as much difference as having good skills.
so make sure your technique is good..
my 2 cents smile.gif

But using squash racket his smash speed will drop from 250km/h to 210km/h, is it enough to beat you?

err,can anyone recommend what strings should i use for apacs nano power 9900 ?

i prefer shot placing and occasional smashes and net play (all rounder.. sweat.gif )

but focus more on the smash part

and what shoes should i get below RM100?

can also try BG80/BG85 and zymax 67 for a little more durability
or zymax 62 for more power! laugh.gif

Recently my elbow starting to pain again after some time. Cut the story short, it was injured years ago.
i wanna continue playing, i think i should get a lighter racket.
i am a heavy smasher. but i think i got to change my game style due to racket too heavy for elbow to handle.
is there any good suggestion for below rm200 budget? currently having 3 racket which i guess is all too heavy for my busted elbow. haha

can consider apacs's lethal light and tantrum light series. do some searching and you can find them easily.
they are of 5u(75-79g..i think) weight

i actually spend 3-4 hours searching and reading reviews on apacs.
haha... never tested apacs b4.
if get 5u, then i guess power had to be sacrificed rite.
also heard nice review on lethal 9.
wats ur opinion? lethal or tantrum light series is around 200 or so.

i have a apacs clone..quite good. strung with 28lbs, tahan till now.
smash kaw kaw oso haven break. no clash though.

if 5u, power is sacrificed. but can choose to get a head heavy model to add a bit power back.
hmm lethal 9. haven seen the specs. not sure yet.
since you have an injured elbow, a medium flex racket will serve you better..i think

Sorry gotta go off topic but Googling/Astro site/theStar is not giving me any results.

Is the upcoming Yonex BWF shown on Astro? If so, what time?

Don't have it, so probably will need to leech a friend's one =(.

according to the data I dig from the web, here is the specs of the Lethal 9

*High Modulus Graphite
*Max Tension: 35lbs
*Weight: 85-87g, Balance: 285+-5mm, Flex: 9.0-9.5, 4U-G2

Lethal 7 and Lethal 8 is around the same, but with difference Flex, Lethal 7 Flex: 9.5, Lethal 8 Flex: 8.0-9.0.

BTW, the higher Flex mean more stiff, right? so Lethal 7 is the most stiff among the 3?

the lower the flex number, the stiffer the shaft is.

flex 9.0-9.5 should be medium flex
i notice most of the apacs racket have the balance of 285..except some high end lethals which have 290 bp

O. . . I got Apacs Edgesaber 100, it show Flex 8.0-9.0, but I feel it very flex; another racket Yonex Nanospeed 500 which should be medium but I feel it a bit stiff. . .

Then I wonder which apacs racket got Flex below 8.0 one??

P/S : Lethal 7 a bit head heavy, Lethal 9 even balance >> http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/sho...tly-used%29-.sg

i think most probably because your apacs is out of spec?
ES100, clone of arc100?

tantrum 200, flex 7.5-8.0 i think..quite stiff but might not be as stiff as Victor's SW35 and YY NS9900
