what do you guys suggest to string it with?
i'm thinking of BG80 or BG85 or Ashway Micro Legend @ 25lbs
or any other suggestion of strings/tension?

i heard BG66 is a good string but snaps easily
so you recommend BG80? why not BG85? any reasons?

QUOTE(okk @ Dec 4 2009, 08:38 AM)
BG66 snaps easily, that's rite, but if you tie at 24-25lbs, it should be durable enough, but of course depending on your playing style smile.gif
Just personal preference, BG85 doesn't feel nice to me and the sound also not good... smile.gif
*
i'm a little bit more to offensive
that's the reason why i'm a bit afraid to string it with BG66

QUOTE(Yan @ Dec 4 2009, 08:50 AM)
not sure abt snapping fast.. but so far bg66 is the most preferred choice coz of the power and feel balance... the stronger n more durable is the bg65... smile.gif
*
i read a lot of review says that it snaps easily..maybe due to offensive playing and high tension sweat.gif
means now i can consider BG80 and BG65 hmm.gif

thx okk & yan notworthy.gif

QUOTE(jehutyz @ Dec 12 2009, 02:53 PM)
Hi all expert...
Quite new to badminton and i'm thinking to get a new racket at around less than RM 150-RM200. At first I was considering the Yonex Nanospeed 500 but then I heard some comments said can try Apacs, as it is better than lower end of Yonex.

So now i'm lookin for Apacs but I don't know which range i should look into. I'm just a normal player so which series I should get?

Please advise.
Thanks.

basically, most of the apacs racquet are below RM150.
choose those with medium or medium soft shaft
don't string it using too high tension at first..around 22/23lbs
you can increase later

i using Apac Nano Power 900 with BG66 string to 27lbs. So sweet the feel. Smash comes alive, net control much nicer, drives much faster n accurate. And strings havent putus yet after like 8+ sessions 2hrs on court each. Everything everyshot i play now is much much nicer.  wub.gif

chill fellas..

honestly i think futsal shoe and badminton shoe is 2 different type of shoes..
for me, futsal shoe has lesser support (maybe due to the narrower base) and tighter (to feel the ball when kicking)
badminton shoe on the other hand, provides more support and of course, less tight to occupy more foot movement

jz my 2 cents from my experience
comparing nike total 90 and yonex ultima 100 shoe

But how come ziggy87 and arc1414 also ignorance and lack of understanding about your futsal shoes for badminton??

Anyway, like you say Nike Court3 insole and outsole is not really thick enough as a good badminton shoes, so I add another thin insole and now it feel better & more comfort, one of the reason I buy Nike is becoz the quality is quite durable, my few friends been using Nike Court2 for more then 15 months and still in good condition, my previous RM80 Yonex shoes last me less then 8 months then game over!!
How much you get for the BG66 maxima and BG80? thinner string usually less durable unless it is coated with something special.

If usually you use 24lbs with BG66 then you better use 25lbs or 26lbs with BG80 or BG65 coz it is more thick.

wah wah..dun drag me to fire oh tongue.gif

i'm just saying that badminton shoes and futsal shoes are 2 different kind of shoes.
i didnt mentioned anything about he wearing it for badminton.

oh btw, i think he did said that his Umbro is for futsal..
as for arc's reply...BASED ON MY UNDERSTANDING of his words..he's just saying that wearing futsal shoe to badminton session is not good..giving his pro and experienced opinion on what he understands

chill fellas..

*not here to start a fire again or anything..just wanna drag myself out before i'm burnt tongue.gif*

and miz..your foot are really big wei LOL
i think size11 also hard to find shoe d..
go big big shops and look for them..they should have entered some stock
the shop i bought from is small shop..most of the models no size 10..
normally 8 and 9 oni
