How about nanospeed 500 or 800???? one of my friend suggest that...

actually its hard for me to find a shop at Shah Alam to try some.
*
nanospeed 500 user here, it is a quite well balanced racket, not too light not heavy also, consider quite good for beginner -> intermediate player like me also, as a RM150++ racket, I give it 75-80 marks over 100. . . for your budget, you got choice for yonex NC tuff 8 / NC tuff 9 / Armortec 30 / Armortec 50 / Armortec 150 also. . .

any opinion about yonex nanospeed 800 and its price and shop that selling it? need suggestion..thanks...new here..
*
me using nanospeed 500 now, consider as a quite good racket for the price below RM200. . .

nanospeed 800 should be around RM200 with string, more stiff then the nanospeed 500, if you are a offensive player, nanospeed 800 should be quite ok for you.

I have tried 2 lower ends Yonex (made in Taiwan), Nanospeed 500 and 800.
They are real good rackets and selling below 200.
Nanospeed 500 is more flexible and a bit lighter whereas Nanospeed 800 is a bit heavier and stiff.
If you have good swing speed and wrist power, try Nanospeed 800, it's really excellent...

Added on November 23, 2009, 11:14 pm

Try Nanospeed 800, it's stiff and more balanced compared to AT 70MG, which is too head heavy for me....hehe....just my 2 cents
*
How about Yonex AT150 & AT250? made in Taiwan & around the same price range with Nanospeed 500/800 & AT 50/70MG also. . .

QUOTE(nicotine @ Dec 4 2009, 12:18 AM)
thanks for the input, bought a cloned arc saber z slash (apacs) + bg80 @ 27lbs few week ago and straight away fell in love on that cheap racket. simply wonderful, smashing is good, sound hmm just a bit lacking.
sawadikap, that arc 7 tou rai kap ?
haih sad case bro...  old boat condemn liou so no more offshore bashing session liou.. anyway there's a ongoing new boat mia project hehehe hopefully can source for a v8 or v10 lorry engine by this year.
btw send my regards to those plabuks at BSR, miss those buggers biggrin.gif
hmmm i already have a AT70MG, whacking power is good but when it comes to defense and maneuverability compared with my apacs .. aduh doh.gif

IMO,bg66 putus only if you play really offensive
mine lasts around 3 months like dat if i play 2-3 times a month
24-25 got the nicest feeling

bg65 also not bad... but the feel not very nice
*
Quite a lot peoples play 2-3 times a week, so BG66 cannot last more then 2 months for them. . .

Armortec series are all head heavy, so definitely will affect the maneuverability, unless your wrist is real strong....not sure about AT150 and AT250 though....but quite a number of people have AT250....
*
Then AT 30/50/70/150/250 got what difference?? price range within RM150-RM200 also, don't know why those racket manufacturer never show detail info about their rackets & the differences among each of them. . . anyway I am using Nanospeed 500 now, a quite good well balance racket for the price below RM200. . .

Yonex AT150 and 250 are the older low-end Armortec series that Yonex produced and AT30, AT50 and AT70 are the newer generations, which means they have newer technologies(or at least Yonex claims they have  smile.gif ).
So if you are comparing them, you have to compare A150 with AT250, and you can compare among AT30, AT50 and AT70.

For the differences between AT30, AT50 and AT70, take a look here:
http://www.yonex.com/badminton/racquets/armortec.html

See the differences in the technology feature and also the shaft stiffness for the 3 rackets above.
For example, AT70 has Mega G2 Frame technology and it's a medium stiff racket.

As of AT150 and AT250, AT250 is longer by 1 cm and it's also a stiffer racquet.

Hope it helps  smile.gif .
*
Actually those info is far not enough to tell the characteristic of a racket, you see ARMORTEC 900 POWER and ARMORTEC 900 TECHNIQUE spec info is totally the same, the stupid Yonex website even didn't show the racket length (664cm? 674cm? 680cm?), is it head heavy / head light / even balance?? it does not have a measurement unit for stiffness also, e.g: AT250 is 25% more stiff then AT150, AT150 is 10% more stiff then AT70, etc. . . AT150 & AT250 is not even listed in the website also. . .

I once strung my AT700 at 23lbs with BG66 only. And it snapped right away after 3-4 smashes. Depends on your luck I guess. But I still love BG66. Affordable nice feeling string.
*
don't give some misleading info and blame the BG66, I am sure even LinDan cannot snapped this 23lbs BG66 with just few smash, it is either your racket got problem or something wrong with the string job. . .

I don't think its the racket problem. It feels fine even do this incident is about a year++ now. Probably broken gourmets of something.

Umm. Try to restring brand new BG66 on your racket. Ask someone to feed high balls to you. Keep smashing as hard as you can. I can bet it will snap less than 15-20 minutes time.
*
I really cannot get what you are trying to tell; thousands of badminton player using BG66 out there, so you mean the string can only last them for 1 game? then each session they play will at least need to ready 4 to 6 rackets??????????????

U guys no need fight la.. The answer is here.

Using Yonex Bg66 easy snap the reason u too excited or anxious to hit the shuttle then hit the frame inside side gourmets then 99.99% will snaps.

How to check if u really hit the side frame: Try look closer the frame and u will notice the "Shuttlecock Paint" on your frame which is the area u snap.
There will u get the answer.
*
Actually from the snapping location (usually near the frame area) also will tell it is the user mistake or string job problem, right? normal wear and tear snapping should occur in the sweet spot area.

Well if say string job problem then will on the spot snap on the machine. Strings are usually very sensitive. So it is players problem when snap. I ever see my customer just string then bring to court then 1st hit shuttle on the spot snap.Wat he can do?blame him self lo. Well this case it is just small matter.

If u say after u string up then go court then 1st hit then racket "crack" on the spot then it is the stringer problem.

Patiently play then everything go smooth.Unless ur string none tension or can say got "Bulu liau" then ready to change anytime.
*
Some stringer want to do fast job, they didn't check the grommets properly, make the string almost touch the frame, then after play & smash for some minutes the string snap, consider stringer problem?

Well now all racket are graphite. If the string contact on the graphite it can say nth de. As i stat early ago if really want snap, it snap on the spot on the machine.

If u say those Alloy racket then grommets are very important to turn it or change.

Another important part when u see stringer pull the string and u found the string like stuck and they still insist to pull then in the end the string can snap very easy also. But this case seldom ba. Mostly player hit wrg part then snap.. drool.gif
*
I always heard people said about this; just wonder how it happen will make the string snap? the shuttle hit the string touch the gromment or frame and make the string snap?

nicer compare with what racket that you have use before? is Apac NP900 good in defense also?

I got Apac ES100, control and defense is good, but attack is not as good as my Yonex NS500. . .

Lost my Yonex World Champ 40 yesterday after a year serving me. I put it on top of the car, then forgot to take it in straight drive, the shoes dropped off. Then realized and came back to the scene the guard there said a person with motocycle picked it up already. Altho its not expensive but it has served me well this year.

Went to Pertama to get a new shoes today, after looking around at last I didnt get badminton shoes, I got myself Umbro Varsity futsal shoes for RM69 haha. Poor man poor man.

Restring my AT700 with bg80 25lbs in Racketworld, seems the racket prices really killing. (Saw a 1st gen AT700 but too bad it was not for sale as someone sends it for stringing, damn !)
*
you rather spend more on the racket but refuse to invest on a proper and better shoes to protect your foot that support your whole body weight? what a genius. . . . . . I rather get a cheaper racket but a better shoes, for most of the beginner to intermediate level player, expensive racket won't really make their skill or performance jump to a higher level one; now I using RM170 Yonex NS500 and RM110 Apacs ES108 only with RM180 Nike Court III shoes, hopefully next time got more budget and upgrade to a better shoes; we only got 2 leg that will follow us for the rest of our life, so take care and protect him!

What a genius ? I'd take that as compliment. If you search and read around, shoes are very personal thing. And you think Nike Court III shoes are enough to protect your knee with such thin sole ? I personally try out the high end SHB series but it doesnt really designed for my feet . And perhaps getting the Asics gel series if it suits my feet today. Owh I do play futsal too, the reason I got the Umbros yesterday my dear sifu. biggrin.gif

LYN is full of geniuses, instead of giving advices properly they choose to shoot. I would have explained it properly if you construct your phrase in better manner. But thanks anyway, at least you compliment your bs with some advices  tongue.gif
*
ya, Nike Court3 is not the best badminton shoes out there to protect my knee, you see me use cheap racket also know I am not rich enough to get a more better and expensive shoes, but it should be better then your Umbros futsal shoes. . . and I hope you can enjoy playing badminton with your futsal shoes also. . .

never use before, should be a good string for offensive player, but the normal BG66 0.66mm is quite famous for it short lifespan, cannot imagine this BG66 maxima 0.65mm can last how long; BG80 is still my best choice now. . .

You are either cant read simple english or darn ignorant, either way its not good to stir up the fire, come I explain it properly to you - I would like to let you, Omage007, know that, the Umbro futsal shoes are for futsal brother, I didnt mention or say in any of my post it was for badminton, perhaps my last line "Poor man, poor man" is misleading you so now im clearing it up hopefully u'll understand mister. I dont belittle people with cheap racket as I concern skills are playing better role but I do "envy" your ignorance and lack of understanding.  And till now Im still looking for a decent pair of badminton shoes. Hope you understand ok Omage007 and thank you for the advice and wish, next time if got chance I belanja U Teh Tarik   rclxms.gif rclxms.gif
Btw damn, Pertama, Campbell, dont have US12 or US13 in stock for any model. Probably going to AJ or Hock Eng tomorrow. Kesian me being big footed . Anyone wants me to check on anything ?
*
But how come ziggy87 and arc1414 also ignorance and lack of understanding about your futsal shoes for badminton??

Anyway, like you say Nike Court3 insole and outsole is not really thick enough as a good badminton shoes, so I add another thin insole and now it feel better & more comfort, one of the reason I buy Nike is becoz the quality is quite durable, my few friends been using Nike Court2 for more then 15 months and still in good condition, my previous RM80 Yonex shoes last me less then 8 months then game over!!

QUOTE(nicotine @ Jan 7 2010, 10:21 PM)
bro,
The spec from yonex site looks good, much more durable then the old BG66 and somewhat on par with the nbg95. I had been using bg80 for 1 or 2 month liou. My noob comment is - it's not a string for low tension, it don't really work well with 24lbs. After a month or so it feels like hitting porous foam when i whack and sounds muddy but anyway no doubt the feel is good when it's still new.
sharp sound, i think i'm gonna like it lol
what's the damage for that string and mana boleh find ? tongue.gif
*
How much you get for the BG66 maxima and BG80? thinner string usually less durable unless it is coated with something special.

If usually you use 24lbs with BG66 then you better use 25lbs or 26lbs with BG80 or BG65 coz it is more thick.

Panda racket stringing at 41lbs. . . so damm geng?? I wonder who can play well with 41lbs. . .

BTW, how is the Asics Gel Rocket4 cushioning & comfort level compare with the Yonex SHB series? and is it suitable for wide feet?

My Nike Court3 is not really suitable for wide feet; today I go al-ikhsan window shopping and I found that most of the Nike court shoes also not design for wide feet one. . .

It only take 15 to 20 minutes to string a racket, but you are not the only racket he need to string, unless he give you some priority, else you maybe need to wait few hours.

experienced stringer only needs around half and hour or less

Depends on using what string machine also; actually an experienced stringer only need around 15 minutes to string a racket on a 2 knot string machine using flying clamp.

Then watch some old school badminton video clip also. . . biggrin.gif

Seem like they don't use any badminton bag to carry their racket & clothes?? hmm.gif biggrin.gif

old school player got more stamina then player nowadays? they still can play fast at the 3rd set; and 3 games of 15 points is almost equal with 4 games+ of 21 points, no?? somemore those old school racket is not as 'efficient' as new racket now.

old school shuttlecock quality seem like more durable also. . . hmm.gif

and when the shuttlecock land on the net, the one who most near the net will go pick the shuttlecock; but players now will just walk away eventhough the shuttlecock is just 1 step front if their opponent hit the shuttlecock on the net, why???

Any recommendation for the racquet?

thinking of yonex

Then I think YONEX ARCSABER 008, ARMORTEC 70 MEGA G2 or NANOSPEED 800 fit your budget and attack style playing.
