That price to respray the whole big dashboard is stull fair, let the SC stasffs handle the work cause it will be complicated to kopek and put back again.

Does anyone knows how much for the brake pads replacement at SC..

I heard that is around RM490 for four brake pads..

Is way to expensive for just brake pads at that price?

Agree with raymond, it's way too expensive and overpriced.

I think mine was only around RM250 - RM300 to change all 4 brake pads (honda brake pads).

By the way, HAPPY NEW YEAR to all Honda CITY owners!! rclxms.gif

Mod the car, guess need to ask other members who are modding their City. Most of us are with stock settings on our City.

hi kaizen,
the generations could be different in other countries. with my little knowledge of the car, i'll try to summarize. i'm not sure about first generation of City though.

2G (2nd generation) is the model based on civic EF, the boxy civic model.
3G (3rd generation) is the 1st curvy model, if compared to 2G. released in 2003. front side of the car is a bit steep, if you look from the side. edited. based on honda Fit/Jazz. 3G, 4G & 4.5G are also known as Fit Aria, the sedan version of Fit.
4G (4th generation) is facelift version from 3G. released in 2005 or 2006. you can spot difference from 3G - the front side of the car (raised a bit), the front grille, and tail light.
4.5G a minor change from 4G. released in 2007 or 2008. i'm not sure what's the difference, i just noticed the honeycomb front grille and probably the color of interior - no more beige interior
5G (5th generation) is the new 2009 honda city

do correct me if i'm wrong. hope it helps.

Sport springs wont go well with stock absorbers..reason, diff spring rate which results in bumpier ride. Also stock absorbers have longer stroke which is designed for the longer stock springs. Aftermarket springs are shorter so if you want a better ride then its best to go for sports absorber cause they have shorter stroke. GAB's sport absorbers for example comes with the AVCS [auto valve control stability] which means it can be paired with any aftermarket sport springs.

Eibach Pro-Kit sport springs uses progressive spring rates to minimize disturbances to the vehicle's ride quality, they are designed with overall higher than stock spring rates to help control the additional body roll at the limit to maximize improvements in handling. Cost somewhere RM1k for new set.

There are two types of springs, normal spiral springs[Linear Springs] which cost cheaper n offer easy lowering. The best choice is the use of a Progressive Spring, which in addition to lowering also improves the stiffness and handling of the car. A progressive spring will become harder and harder the more it is compressed. This way, it will feel soft on the daily driving road, but give a stiffer handling for the sportier driving. The progressive springs cost a bit more, but in my opinion it's worth the money! (from Fookie)

For Utra Racing bar, you dun have to install all. The most significant will be Anti Roll Bar. Instead of wanting to know all, learn which one you really need and later buy the bar that you only need. Btw, ARB cost about RM450.

Happy modding.

Hi All,

Want to check if anyone has experienced any problems with the window motors located at the driver side and front passenger?

Mine (driver side) just went kaput yesterday and currently waiting for the new one to arrive and to be installed.

The passenger side went kaput and had to changed a new motor last year. cry.gif

Is it really that fast for the motor to spoil? My city is currently 5 years old. icon_question.gif

Can't remember the exact price from SC, will need to check back the receipt. But I think it should be around RM 300 - RM400.

Currently sending to outside workshop to change since it's cheaper. Will update you guys once I've managed to locate the old receipt. smile.gif

Raymond, have you encounter this problem with CITY as well?

bro i got the same problem too. i sent to SC at melacca but their workmanship is very3 poor.
my city stay at their SC for one full week but they still cant repair the damn side mirror.
i pissed off then take back my car without repairing.and i think they use a lot of my fuel also, when i sent for repair my tank is full, after i take back my car it left 3/4 tank(dont know what they did to my car)
few months later i sent for service at SC again(this time at service centre near kepong). but then they said they wont touch anything to the side mirror system becoz they suspected me to do some MODIFICATION outside honda SC.coz they found out some cables has been cutted
i told them that great job was done by melacca SC.but kepong SC still cant repair it for me,ask me go back to melacca to repair it.DAMN SHIT!!!

so now i want to ask whether outside workshop can repair it or not?and roughly how much
