Hey I notice too that I find it difficult to rev above 3k rpm. ):

But when I sent my car for service the other day, the Sc fella who drove it around was revving it like nothing, I didnt notice if it did hit over 3k rpm or not but he didnt say anything so shld be okay??

And that memory reset thing, does it rly work? seems fairly simple to do smile.gif
*
Rev. for 3-5 seconds also cannot be more than 3k rpm? hmm.gif

Nice pick up there. thumbup.gif VTEC or IDSI should be able to perform this too.

@cikun, car pick up sometimes can help us to clean off the left over carbon in the engine. brows.gif

I'm now at the service centre. Within 3.5 years, Honda changed 2 batteries for me. The first battery was under warranty, so it's FOC. However, the second battery I am being charged now.
Car bought on 2006
2008, January - changed 1st battery
2009 December - chang-ING 2nd battery

I remembered last time, my Wira's battery can last few years! Is it true that City's battery becomes weak very soon? Please enlighten...

I was facing difficulty to start sometimes...

In 3.5 years changed 2 batteries already? Your battery dead is because of overdrawn in current from your car? If need battery replacement also don't get from them, theirs are expensive.

I'm thinking of adding the Powerbooster and Miniturbo. Based on reviews by others, this should further increase pickup smile.gif and quite cheap compared to other mods.

I second that. Plus, don't get the maintenance free battery but get the water type instead. I have a neighbour who's a foreman and a machanic friend that both say water / acid? type is better. Recently bought a heavy duty battery cost me about 200+ i think. So far very good, even if i leave car for some days can start with ease.

I just bought a new Honda City. Mileage around 200km

I will be going to a outstation journey, is it advisable to go 120kmh during the first 1000km?

Also the salesman told me the first service (1000km) no need to change engine oil... is this so??

Thanks! notworthy.gif

Aaargh! You mean, those battery by Honda is not the water/acid type? No wonder! It costs me 170 for the short life span battery . Sigh....

*now can feel the starter is more "energetic".

er skyer, I have no idea if Honda SC installed a maintenance free battery or not. It's just an advice if you're looking for one.

@neato4u,your car is fitted with power booster and mini turbo? drool.gif

@skyer,the battery from Honda should be either acid or maintenance free type. You can get one of these models from the spare part shops.

@fun_feng,it is not advisable to rev. that high speed for the first 1k km. Do it only after 1k service.

raymond5105 - @neato4u,your car is fitted with power booster and mini turbo?

Raymond, unfortunately not yet! laugh.gif My steering issue ('bite') is coming back and I've re-tighten the screw as I can't stand the 'kluk-kluk' noise coming from the rack anymore.

Got a cheap quote from a guy who sells recond steering rack (cost less than 1k) but my wife is a bit worried about using recond stuffs. Right now looking for new but cheap part to replace the steering rack.

Anyone knows where? SC quoted me near to 4k which is ridiculous sweat.gif

neato4u.. u using 7 speed mode eh? mine also can rev over 3k if using 7 speed mode..why dont use S mode + 7 speed mode.. i mean use 7 speed mode to rev until 5.7k rpm and hit the manual to get out 7 speed mode to S mode.. with your CVT, the rpm shud stay still at 5.6k rpm? read it at some forum, but not going to try with expensive CVT gb ;p

i jst noticed when in D mode, when i floor it fast @2k rpm, it will rev to 3k rpm, and floor again, then it only hit 4k rpm+. i guess tat is normal,no? ;p

i wonder why my bro vtec running 2k rpm and floor it, and it rev to 4.5k rpm yawn.gif vtec is designed like that? hahas

raymond.. i thought rev more will build more carbon inside the engine? tongue.gif

rclxms.gif If there is any member here using minturbo or power booster, please share out your experience with them.

I just went to service my air-cond yesterday, changed the pulley and clutch. I feel my car goes smoother and no jerking. cool.gif

Recon steering rack? Do you give you any warranty?
