I hope they come out with another android phone with a qwerty keyboard. I own a G1 and the qwerty keyboard makes it very easy to use when entering/typing text. The onscreen keyboard is useless as I keep hitting the wrong key and have to backspace all the time. My only problem with the G1 is the lousy battery life.

does anyone know where we can get g1 cases? im in kuching and i don't think people here have even seen this phone before :-/

Think it's kind of hard to look for G1 spare parts in Malaysia.
Try SG or maybe ebay-ing for it. At least HTC Dream case will fit.

crap! dropped my fone on the road!!! and now got 2 GIANT scratches on both the top corners.. but thank goodness its still working fine..

No worries... the more it dropped, the more powerful it will be, it is android anyway ^^)

Hello everyone. This is my first post and its great to know that there are many G1 users in M'sia i can learn from. Anyway, i just got mine frm SG few weeks ago and i have yet to receive the 1.5 update. FYI, my friend and i bought our phones at the same time, he's on Celcom and i'm on Maxis. He got the update, i did not. Is the OTA updates limited to a certain network provider only?

Not it's based on google and phone ID, are you on the data package? Is pushed thru 3G/

Not necessary being pushed thru 3G data, any WIFI data will do.

Assuming that you got a G1. I suggest that you switch on and off of it few times (at some intervals...), and leave in on WIFI if possible. ^^) You will get the OTA sooner from Google.
