yes, u can use apps2ds on ion rom.. but since u also ask is there is better rom than ion, i recommend you to use cyanogen rom( get it here ) It also smoother( in my opinion), but also will do apps2sd automatically for you. It even do apps2sd better compared to other rom. But, for it to automatically implement apps2sd, make sure you have 2 partition on ur sd card( one ext2 and the other one fat. )

I'm now using v3.5 of the rom, ( which include htc camera which way superior than default camera) and rarely encounter lag( but there still some lag, of course.)

as for your 2nd question, i recommend advanced task manager. search it in the market. icon_rolleyes.gif

firstly, if you want app2sd done automatically by the rom, you need to have two partition in your sd card, one ext2 and one fat. I recommend using a ubuntu live cd and use the partition manager to make your partition. 500mb -800mb of ext2 should be enough for all of your apps need smile.gif . Be warned though, if you have class 2 sd card, I dont think its a good idea to use apps2sd. If you dont have the cd, maybe you can use this apps.

When done partitioning your sd card, put the cyanogen rom you download to the root of your sd card, and rename it to update.zip. Then off your phone, and then press power button + home to enter recovery mode. There choose option to update from sd card. When done, restart your phone. Congratz rclxms.gif now you're using CM rom with apps2sd thumbup.gif

as for whether you need to wipe or not, Im not so sure about that, and yes, if you wipe, you'll lose al of your apps.. and configuration too.

Hi guys, it's been a while I have not come in here to give a peek ^^
And I can feel our dark forces getting stronger and stronger brows.gif

Heh! Wonder how many of us got rooted G1 in Malaysia?!

Ok, talking about rooting & modded rom, I'm experiencing an issue concerning about the G1 audio, nowadays those modded rom comes with modded audio files (CSV) that boost louder audio/voice. But since Meltus's era (G1 audio hack), I'm having "lost' audio issue randomly. Sometimes it works, sometimes its just died without any notice, all you can see is the notification LED keep on blinking for gmail/SMS. (Regardless any modded rom)

Does anyone else having this symptom on his rooted droid?

The funny part was, a reboot will not cure it, the audio only come back after I changed to a fully charged battery. blink.gif

PS: I'm suspecting voltage have something to do with this.... still monitoring smile.gif

PS2: Hah! Finally somebody reported this "lost" audio issue ^^ :From XDA
