i'm thinking to get g1 since i prefer to have physical keyboard, but the phone price is ridiculous. i search lowyat forum, it sell around 1.7k compare to magic which sell for 2k at cimbclick. anybody know where i can get cheap new g1

btw, anybody use 2400mAh g1 extended battery?

Lek is right, G1 got GPS just the proper navigation system such as Garmin is not there yet.
Still need Google Maps to navigate. ^^

Meaning we still can navigate using Google Maps eh? To access google maps, do we need to use telco charges? Can we dl offline google maps?

Yep, still can navigate through Maps just not in 3D navigation and no auto-re-routing system.
Have to view the maps in big picture.

Yes, still need telco to download the Maps in real-time.
However there are apps help to cache the maps into SDcard. Can't recall their name sorry! tongue.gif

G1 is an internet based smartphone.... without connection, your G1 is lack of lotsa good interesting stuff

I see.The only thing block me from the unlimited data usage from celcom is Im using prepaid. So I might subscribe the weekly unlimited at 384kbps at RM20. hmm

there's Android base GPS software already available...exactly same like Garmin or MapKing point to point direction icon_rolleyes.gif in fact i'm using it now thumbup.gif
marvellous, GPS lockdown very fast indeed.....more faster compared to WinMo based devices.

I'm using Ndrive. You might be able to find a working copy to download if you search for it at some forum dedicated to Android apps. whistling.gif

Then, there is CoPilot but that one got no map for Malaysia yet.
