actually, if your ham treats his bowl as where he stashes his food, then ok lo. My hams stash their food in their bowl, or their smoothie dish if got. And they usually eat finish their fresh since i agak agak the amount daily.

so nice your ham ham like dat... mine stashes selected food in his house...huhu...n then dunno how he usually sleeps, maybe roll here and there sweat.gif until some the food got pushed out from the house and mix with bedding outside... sweat.gif sweat.gif

scared later the fresh food he brought to his house will get pushed out and mix with beddings, worse if the bedding covers the food and the food starts to rot without me noticing it...[since it's covered deep down in the beddings] sweat.gif

ummm another ques... Frissian cat litter really won't clump rght? just to confirm b4 i go buy 2moro...smile.gif the toilet sand that comes together with the "living world" toilet...if not mistaken that one clumps...this true aa?

Your robo is just 1 ham right? No companions?

smile.gif If yes then don't worry, it's absolutely normal. They love to run really quick and make emergency pit stops. So when the wheel builds up too much momentum, an emergency pit stop will spin them in circles.

If you're still worried you may change to a bigger wheel. It stops the problem indefinitely. When I had more than 3 hams in 1 tank, all wanting to run at the same time, i changed to a bigger wheel. sweat.gif It looks dangerous when some got flung out and hit the top of the tank. After that no more washing machine spinning.

The wheel is good if your ham does not have to bend his/her back to run in it.

actually i feel wodent wheel jr is just right for syrian... For robo, they have a bit of difficulty moving a normal habitrail wheel. That's why no washing machine cycle. But they can make the wheel build up speed all the same. Just less speed.

I think robo, better not use wodent. sweat.gif robos also like to pee in the wheel ma. feel heart pain the way they thrash the wheel.

Lava stone? You mean prumice?
I'd prefer wood or wheat gels since I am not sure if prumice is good for the hamster's stomach...

If the poo is watery and his backside is wet with poo then you better bring to the vet asap. Could be wet tail. And Toph can die in less than 24 hours.

Try this get 100+ and de-gas it and let him drink some because he is dehydrated from the diarrhea. You can also use glucose. Just mix a small amount with water. And bring to the vet quickly.

Remember - Wash his tank with dettol throughly also as there is bacteria from the wet tail. It is contagious to hamster.

But is Toph still active in his tank (eg. running around, climbing, etc) Or just lying still like no energy? If active it could means that he is not used to his new diet with fresh veges that's the reason for the wet poo. If not active then it is wet tail.

Then monitor Toph these few days lor. Also you can give him some glucose water just incase. Add a little bit into his water bottle. If you're feeding him Nezu smoothie can add a bit there.

Best would be to get a pack of Nezu's Rescue powder.

Watch out for ants also since there is something to attract them (glucose).

if u can feel the bone. then the hammi is skinny. Toph is scare, can be Toph never have human contact until he meet u. so he will take some time to accept n gain trust from human. so it slowly he will be find, unless there are some genetic problem. and remember this is not 1 day, 1 week or 1 mth to change. it can take u few mths.
