correct me if im wrong..
mealworm can be used as an alternative way to feed vege to your hamster..

-if your hamster dont love vege, put mealworms in a container filled with vege and let them eat those vege..

-those mealworms will store those vege in their stomach..

-then, when we give the mealworm to hamster, the hamster will indirectly got the vege nutrien contains in the mealworm stomach..

in the end, no more nutri smoothie needed.. hehe.. (this part is only joke)
*
Mealworm is to provide hamster with the protein as what mentioned by othere... same goes to egg white..

Why 1 will be headless and 1 will be missing?? you keep them with the adult hamster?
*
Nope...1 pair inside, Male and female, which is father mother. The male always hide in another cage.
I using 2 HAbitrail Ovo so the male will at his own side.

so, gutloading is just to keep the mealworm fat = full of protein?
*
You gut load the mealworms so they are big and healthy for your hamster to eat. The fish shop don't feed the mealworms well as I see some are fed newspapers or oats only.

Anyway feeding mealworms to your hamsters is mainly for their protein content and some fat. So it could not replace feeding your hamster fresh veges or smoothie.

It's like would you eat a chicken that have been fed garbage all it's life? Or chicken that have been fed with healthy chicken food?

I'll try again soon , else I'll just get a pack of vege powder. tongue.gif

Really salute the diet you give. laugh.gif

Anyway , where do you get the omega oil ?
Human supplements - Omega oil suitable for hammie also ? unsure.gif

Special diet needs from a special person laugh.gif
If you able to get smoothie, omega is added, so not necessary for you to give extra dose laugh.gif

Added on October 16, 2008, 6:05 pmoh, I also give her hay cake.. but she hardly bites.. the first cube is still there, LOL..

Impossible. Only syrians come in golden colours to match the yellow habitat.

http://www.google.com.my/search?hl=en&q=ch...le+Search&meta=

this is chinese ham, nowhere as golden.
