I don't think you can cancel or terminate after the 10 days cooling off period. The only thing that you can do is sell off your membership or do not pay your yearly maintenance then your membership will automatically freezing your membership and eventually cancel your membership. But what do you get out of this? You don't spend RM10K or RM20K or even more then you skip the maintenance fee and eventually caused your the membership right? Once you sign up the vacation club, don't expect to utilise the entitlement immediately. From what i know, you have to pay minimum 30% of the membership cost then only you can start to utilise your entitlement. So, please think before you sign up any vacation club. It is a one way traffic and irreversible. The sweet talk is also over upon cooling off period expiry.

Added on July 3, 2011, 9:10 pmLatest update, i notice that sunway vacation club has cancel all the made available resort in europe, kenya and australia. So the only made available resort left is in Asia. Like usual, they do not even bother to inform its member at all...so beware. With Matta fair is on its way next month, don't fall for their sweet talk and sign up blindly.

Haha, what a lucky girl.
As what you mentioned is quite true, all the australia/europe hotel has been removed permanently. I have double confirm with the SIVC with that, they told me that "Sunway International Vacation Club reservers the absolute right to change, revise or replace the whole or any part of the Made Available Points Resorts without notice."
So, please do yourself a favour, check with them before departure. You don't want to end up like tk1888...

I just joined the club in June. To my surprise, within these two months, the club has cancelled its affiliations with a number of overseas hotel. Currently, their overseas hotel are limited to China, India, Philippines, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam & Indonesia. None of the hotels in European countries and Australia is available - these are the places that I planned to go when I signed up the membership. I felt cheated and is considering to bring up this matter to tribunal. If you guys are having the same intention please let me know so that we can bring it up together - stronger case.

Today, I wanted used it for my Hong Kong trip next year, when checking on the SIVC club website, Made Available Hotel become lesser and limited. rclxub.gif
Then, i try to email them on the RCI membership, they reply me as follow:

"Kindly be informed that the affiliation agreement with RCI expired on 15 July 2011 and Sunway International Vacation Club (SIVC) has decided not to renew the affiliation agreement on the grounds that it was not in the best of interest of the SIVC timeshare scheme and its timeshare members.

Further to this, to ensure continuity for our timeshare members to enjoy exchange privileges, SIVC has chosen to enter into an affiliation with Interval International (II). For the benefits of SIVC members, SIVC shall continues providing 2 years free membership under the Interval International (II) affiliation. Attached is the form for your further action."

For the Interval International affiliation, dun have any Hong Kong/Macau hotel. So depress and disappointed on Sunway. Really speechless on it. wink.gif wink.gif More and more downgrade.....haizzz...anywhere can make complaint and useful which can take action to Sunway.

SIVC had CHEATING their customer & i'm the one of victim.

The latest new of SIVC had remove all europe's hotel include Australia hotel & so on.

I had post the list & only had several hotel in there. All the RSI are fail to use & all member are fail to travel to others country by using RSI.

During time sign up, the sales person din't tell us & keep confirm us as SIVC got soooo many hotel outside & with RSI we can travel all around the world. Now, all gone ready.

How to do with it & how can i claim my money back????

Please help..

Added on August 16, 2011, 6:24 pmWho else got experience in make complaint or sue SIVC.

They got the world MOST Low service & NO responsible in operate the SIVC:

1) 1 booking need me to follow up myself & they din't reply at all.
2) I had waste my time to CALLING them,
3) MULTIPLE time in email & they still din't receive. At the end tell me that late booking & hotel are fully book.
4) I had waste my time to go direct to the service center & make confirmation. But still need to wait.
5) I got no choice to apply for leave to make confirmation of hotel direct to SIVC.
6) We paid money for service but i think we paid money to get in trouble more than service.
7) Service person din't stable, A person din't know B colleague's info to followup. LOW system & din't know what kind of system they are using.
8) Every complaint through phone & need their trouble shooting. They must reply: through email & we will contact you back soon. Then, do nothing.
9) I feel like they are using a legal license to make cheating money to public. And they still got the legal raw to take our money without any responsible.
10) During sales explanation, they had well train their sales person to use the side way & make us believe that SIVC had all the better service & with it we can travel to our dream country. But at the end, they said NO hotel at all & use the hidden raw to thread us back & said:

'Sunway International Vacation Club reservers the absolute right to change, revise or replace the whole or any part of the Made Available Points Utilization Table and resorts without notice, prior or otherwise.'

11) During explaination: They DIN'T tell us what risk we have to having SIVC. And I still in clear memory that their said that are NO RISK to having it & so many people rush for it.

I join it because of RSI, now RSI totally fail in use. What for if we stay in a local hotel that almost same price with outsider booking. And the most important i got headache to make my booking by paid all my money to SIVC????

toooooo late for the member who had join here. I found here because of feeling cheated by SIVC & try to find out where can help us. Its that any other's way to let the public know their cheating skill?

Before sign up, all possible & no risk. After sign up, all the thing had change to opposite.

Until now, they still keep calling public with free voucher & convince them to join in. Its really terrible....

Aiyoo,a lot of negative comment over here..to show agreement of suggestion by mr. moneyworks, i want to share some of my experience(which is not a bad one).

Me n my wife joined the SIVC on early 2010,where we got the invitation to join by the lure of complimentary hotel stays (we were just married then)..the one big reason that we joined the SIVC is that we just want a HUGELY discounted price on hotel stays for the rest of our lives..i guess u guys already know the formula already;

Accomodation-wise
1 trip to London(without SIVC) = RM7K +- (average 3-star hotels for 7 nights)
RM30k +- (pay for SIVC) = Trip to London once per year(7 nights),for a lifetime

* This is only an example

So,on that alone,we've decided to join..of course we didn't plan to go to our dream vacations right away,we just thought that it would be very wise to buy it now, when the price is still low(in our opinion)..can't imagine what will the price be in the next 10 years, could be increased dramatically, given the current global economy..So far,we've fully utilized the points that we're given to us each year (540 pts to be exact)..but,instead of going overseas,we just use the points for hotel stays in malaysia..we don't want the points go to waste..plus,we are VERY FORTUNATE to have a very friendly salesperson(the same person that persuaded us to join in) where she explains thoroughly what i needed to know when asked, each time before we're going to make a booking.

Maybe we have yet go overseas, that's why we don't have too much problem..but for now at least,we're happy with the decision to join SIVC. If we can't go overseas,we just use it within malaysia..and that's that..their CS also reminded us of the points that is expiring in the coming months..that is why we managed to used up all our points last year(by shopping in Penang, hehe)

Then, you are lucky that person in charge can follow up you.

I had use my point at Sunway Pyramid too, just getting headache during booking.

The most important is start from Mac2011, ALL oversea hotel at RSI unavailable. This is a serious problem for us.

Why i join, the point are clear & easy. Cheap & for future.
Let said; 1 trip to London(without SIVC) = RM7K +- (average 3-star hotels for 7 nights)

With using RSI, i just need 270 point (270 x RM3 = RM810) to get
A) '3-star hotels' & about (I don't think SIVC got contract more higher than 3 star)
B) for '7 nights' &
C) for '3 Room'
* mean can travel together with 6 person by ONLY RM810.

That is the point. I hope you got what i mean.

If go to local hotel, its not quite different between SIVC with normal BUT SIVC still more lower than normal price, this is true & i absolutely agree with that. During promotion period, SIVC will become more expensive then.

Of cause if we look for future, its really good for us to invest. Just the problem we facing is the starting point of SIVC, they had make us feel unsafe & uncomfortable with their progress. Last 6 month i still get a good news ofrom the sales department said that Tambun Sunway will have hotel in SIVC too & still got more hotel from around the world will get in to the RSI hotel planning.

Now, the tambun not only din't have any hotel for SIVC. In fact, the hotel from all around the world which exist in SIVC name list all unavailable.

Now a day, just got 8 country got hotel for SIVC include Malaysia. They were China, India, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia & Malaysia. rclxub.gif

I'm a SIVC member, and I'm encountering very poor & bad service from them recently, unlike previous 1-2 years..

1) Email reservations not replied for up to a week. I have to send reminder after reminder.

2) Called but no response. The call is through but noone seems to be picking up the phone.

Haha,i don't think they don't know their products. In fact i think their know their product far too well but then they are only providing selective information. We, as inexperience customer most probably do not know how to probe for the negative part and eventually all fall for the timeshare trap. So please, think really carefully before sign up any timeshare...

The problem is how to let the others know about this case. When they find out had being cheap & finally find us. Its pointless to warn it here.

Its that any other way to let as more people know this as as possible?

Hi all,

Do anyone know SIVC emails/phone numbers other than the one that they put on their website officially?

I booked a room (got my confimation slip) with them to Sunway Hotel Seberang Jaya to checkin tomorrow. But I called the hotel and found that the room was not booked from SIVC to the hotel.

I am trying to call them up and email them to check for me on my booking, but since this morning 10AM until now I don't get anyone to attend the official line number, and email no respond.

Appreciate if anyone can give me an escalate number to call up.

Thank you very much.

SIVC Club: 03 5639 9221
Sales person 1: 017 3680 310 (Jackson) (junior)
Sales person 2: 016 2112 615 (Terence) (senior sales)
Sales person 2: 018 6651 744 (Terence) (senior sales)

They still using the skill of choosing number which get from maxis, celcom, digi & so on (don't know how they get our data) to continue cheat the others public to join them. mad.gif

Hi all...if we join less than a year, can I stop paying the monthly installment and eventually SGIVC will terminate my membership? Will they charge me in court or something? I have yet to use their service. I don't care about not getting refund.

Please advice!

All vacation clubs are the same, the business model is extremely unfair to the consumers.

Please visit the following link

Berjaya Vacation Club members have done a good job. They have their own group in facebook to act as platform for exchanging experience and views.

Many others got hooked included myself. We are being laughed as BLUR SOTONGS sad.gif in other forum.

The only solution is to form a group and put up the case to
