Funny, for me, I found that my v2 firmware has better battery life than 1.1.4 firmware, don't know, just feel that it can go for much longer than previous 1.1.4

i have downloaded everything and i'm ready for an upgrade to 2.1... however, there is one thing i would like clarification about...

In your first post.. u wrote quickpwn 1.1 <--- this quickpwn will upgrade ur baseband also..

does this apply to quickpwn 2.1 ?

2.1 is the correct way to go! 1.1.4 sudah ketinggalan zaman ni!

Just proceed. Devteam did not mention anything about baseband upgrade on quickpwn 2.1. You're all good to go.

haha coz now only my sem break.. so i am ready to do the upgrade anyway if quickpwn is ok.. y are ppl still waiting for winpwn ?is it because it is deemed more stable ? going to upgrade tonight or tomorrow morning

yeppie, i done with my 1.1.4 to 2.1 using quickpwn.

so far everything goes fined, call call in/out , sms no problem.
i feel like 2.1 when open app got a bit delay compare with 1.1.4
same with contact, slightly lagg

overall still acceptable, will do more testing......

finally im in 2.1 ^^...thx david for this wonderful thread...very straightforward and easy to understand...im noob n first time doing upgrade firmware ^^....

Just get a US itunes acc..There's a guide in this forum of how to get one..
Then buy an itunes gift card and purchase lor..

FW2.x uses different OS structure as compare to FW1.x
I'm sure it will be slightly more on the loading time... but acceptable one.

FW 2.x will definitely change your perspective, especially the GAMING

i find it interesting how some ppl will sing praises and butter the person they wanna seek help from before their true intentions surface when they proceed to ask for help

Guys I need help here. I am in the process of updating my firmware from 1.1.1 to 2.0.1. Followed this guide from iClarifiediClarified. Everything went well until step 24. My iTunes cannot detect my phone. It show this


I believe my iphone has already gone into dfu mode. The phone itself shows the ready to restore image. Not sure I have to click the check button. When I cancelled the message, itunes cannot detect my phone and thus i can't restore it. Please help.

Kelvin, what do you mean by that? So I have to check the updates at that instant? After like 10-15minutes, the phone restarted itself. Also I had closed winpwn. Now that I have the custom ipsw, can I just directly go into dfu mode and try to restore again.

The problem is I didn't expect to get that update message and iPhone was not shown on itunes.
