Another question, my friend uses an older iphone 2g (1.1.2) that uses freesim, so technically I can do a 2.1 pawnage and he can throw away tat hack strip, thus using his sim card as per normal right? Just to be sure before I upgrade his iphone

Guys, I need your guide in helping me upgrade my iPhone to 2.1. At the moment it runs on 1.14 jailbroken. When I tried to upgrade to 2.1 via iTunes, the phone was stuck in restore mode with error 1604. I managed to get out of restore mode with ibrickr.

How do I upgrade to 2.1 in my situation?

may i know what itunes version dya use?

Well, 1604 during quickpwn/pwnage or during restore/upgrade? (That Shift+restore thing)... Ur itunes version is already updated for now...

What about uninstalling all apple's programs and cleaning all tracks before do full re-installation? dun worry bout ur library. U can always rename it to sumthing else first. Later then change to its origin for itunes to detect (Provided correct link)

if its fails, guess u might need to put ur phone into DFU mode
