See the brands here (middle of the post): http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/788313/+40

Suggest you focus on price/performance, most GC cooling are acceptable under normal usage.

well, actually all stock cooling are sufficient for GCs.

if ever stock cooling is not suffiicient, it's because the owner has lousy casing air-flow. not the card's problem. smile.gif

my casing can be considered compact casing and my room dont hv air-con, i dont want to change d casing and hopefully there is a gfx that can run program or games (ex:crysis / grid) in my pc well in my condition and in d other hand maintain the temp of d gfx.

erm..i actually want to use that gfx for playing games for long period of time. So hopefully there is some gfx that can provide the best cooling fo gfx.

previoulsy it was RM350.
the new pricelist says RM340. is pczone having typo again? or it is the price when bundle with a pc?

anyway, i'm waiting for a powercolor HD4670. if it's below RM300, i'll grab it.

are u guys saying that palit 9600GT is having lots of trouble?

Ya clarify with them already, really is typo (even they put the pic and price in the brochure shakehead.gif). Cos i gonna grab it since so cheap, luckily i make a call to them 1st since i dun trust the price. Now also targeting the 4670 since this power comsuption but i heard that the price is high and no worth now, sapphire 4670 need RM350+-. sweat.gif

I will be no suprise if the HIS HD4670 iceq-Turbo is exceeding RM400 since the normal 1 now oledi RM350+-, so for the OC version should be more of that.

Haha, me also i nthe same situation, a lot of fren here suggest me to buy the 3870 instead of 4670. Imho, even if 128 bit different but it should on par or lose a bit to the 3850 in certain performance.

From the word of ATI directly, 4600 series NOT meant to compete with 3800 series. They will lose out in high res settings and games that require a lot of mem transfer, or when using large LCD in high res.

4600 series objective is to be the best mainstream GC, while 3800 series is the best mid range GC. With the 3850 and 3870 prices today, it's super good buy.

Clearer now?

Ya totally agree what you said and is true than 128 bit can't compete with 256 bit, the only point that can make the 4670 outstanding is the power usage and this cost effective (but which i din see in the local market here doh.gif). Maybe time will tell, anyway i should be go low yat 1 round n do some survey. laugh.gif
