ATI 4830 PROS AND CONS:
PROS: 1. BEST VALUES OF $$ now.. 2. reasonable good performance. 3. UVD 2. 4. best value card before the direct x 11.0 released. 5. reasonable overclocking capabilities. CONS: 1. still consume a lot of power, but better than GT9800 counterpart. 2. still generate a lot of heat. 3. no direct X 11.0 native hardware supported. 4. overclocking might lead to instabilities due to a lot of heat generated. If new 5000 series consume same power as 4850 and performance double then I will change.

guys...
Just wana share something here.. It is about the card selection for HTPC... I have a HTPC at home and i have been trying all kinds of graphic card. At the moment i am using the latest card by ATI 4350 series... This card for gaming, you can forget it... but for HTPC, the picture quality is really good... why.. i tell you why.. I have tried, :- ASUS 7300GS, - Colour and quality picture Bad Galaxy 8600GT - Colour is ok, precision on the lines and writing is fine.. Asus EAH3650 Silent - Colour is nicer then the above 2, precision on the lines and writing same as 8600GT Saphire 4870 - Colour and picture is good, but expensive and noisy... not good for HTPC Asus EAH4350 Silent - Colour is really rich and natural, Precision is the best so far i have seen.. Quite and CHEAP as well... so my sharing if anybody want to build HTPC strictly for movies, pic and music, I will recommend EAH4350... really cool... I was shock when i plug in and run the card.. CHEAP AND QUIET most importantly... One happy man now.. dont get me wrong.. i dont sell computer parts... just sharing... |
