I am confused. I've let my blog well... rot for almost a whole year but the pagerank went up???

edit: Checked some more of the counters i left running (forgot their passwords ) and I would wager that pagerank has nothing to do with traffice or site popularity? I only get a miserly 20 unique hits on average a day.

Is pagerank of any importance at all then?

Yes, pagerank show how important your site and it also affect your SERP

pagerank is under google rite? does the pagerank has anything to do with adsense or it was just about our link? our blog presence? and adsense come afterwards so that we can sells ads through the popularity of the blog?

and now i don't understand what i'm talking about.. sigh...

Adsense has nothing to do with your PageRank. The PageRank is a value of ranking where it shows the importance of your site in the eyes of Google. Most higher PR sites ranks higher position in search engine although it is not the main factor to determine that.

Any idea when will be the next PR update? agak-agak?

PR seems not updated since June 2010. So, it should be updated very soon, maybe this month

if you are running ads, then traffic is more important, but how much you will earn if you have 1000UV per day? maybe about USD1000. However, for the link seller, they can earn this amount too with PR5 or more although they dont have traffic

what is "link seller"? selling links space in blog?

I have few K UV per day but can't earn USD1000 per month, can earn few hundred USD per month is good already for me liao...maybe due to my keywords(for Adword) is cheap and my CTR is low

Anyway, I really hope my PR will improve this time coz remains at same PR for long time liao

SEO is the best way.
It is quite depends on your niche, normally those niche like games, entertainment, wallpaper, phone site can get more traffic.

very bad, my site has no focus and not niche, it's just a fun blog for everything, maybe this is why I dun get much traffic from SE...I've dun what SEO recommended but dun see improvement

For the general niche, it will be better go for the SMO, social media optimization, i believed that you are doing this to generate traffic for your site too
