its pretty worth it... i saw read some review saying that it could reduce temp by 7c compare to stock tim, which is pretty much...
get it from rockrock / robyn computer..he sold to me pretty cheap...
i find that the paste is pretty difficult to apply, its more rough, unlike stock tim, smooth and easy to apply..

bro, u sure u using sd963 or sd964? cuz the pic u posted is showing a sd964 with 4 heatpipes.

btw tunix really could do that good? im having a sd964 now and im using the stock thermal paste it came with. (kinda hook the xigmatek hsf up to my rig in a rush and didnt order any other thermal paste cuz i need to go back hometown from my hostel that time),

my proc is e6750 oced to 3.2ghz (400x8); vcore:1.35, idle temp is 33-37 (depends on room temp), while full cpu stress temp is 59-60. no aircond.

so i would just like to know is it really worth it that i should get the tunix or just stick with what i have now. thanks!

Didn't realize i posted wrong picture(changed), mine is 3 heat pipes.. how much did you get yours?

I think there is branded thermal paste for a reason to out preform the stock thermal paste..

here's a site that compare branded thermal paste and stock, but no TX-2...
http://www.cpu3d.com/review/4680-1/thermal...troduction.html

some tx2 review:

i think there wont be much different if a 12cm fan is used. to me, intel hsf is not meant for oc-ing. to me, its main problem lies at the heatsink rather than the fan. intel stock fan is quite good imo.

Intel heatsink doesnt have heat pipes which i think its very useful for heat transfer from the proc IHS to the fins (capillary effect). and this is the main problem with intel hsf and that's y usually performance cpu cooler are build with heat pipes

Besides that, the fan is blown directly towards to mobo. this causes the hot air trap around the proc. maybe with larger fans and right possitioning, this can be solve but still the main problem lies at the heatsink and not the fan smile.gif

i read all of those reviews. i even go find extra reviews online... im just using the thermal paste that came bundled with my sd964, which i dont even know what thermal paste it is.. dont know if i should change it or not cuz im really lazy to take eveything out again, so far temp is ok i think (or maybe not, will do research again. biggrin.gif ). btw i got the sd964 for rm140. i guess i'll use the bundled paste till my next semester and then i'll decide if i would want to buy tuniq or not. goodluck with ur oc rclxms.gif

tuniq TX-2 is a good TIM, but personal opinion is the way how u apply the TIM is important, or it will get not much improvement.. nod.gif

i agree with what he said.. cause you cant put to much or to lil... too much will trap the heat there.. to lil the heat wont really go up to the heat pipe.. just a nice paper thin layer that covers the whole proc will be right... use the credit card method... or your fingers...
