Hi guys, need help.. im using a E8400 overclock at 3.825 by to 425.. i left the core voltage at auto... cause im still not sure what is the best.. is 1.25 good for this clock speed?
and im using 2x2GB kingston DDR2 800 value ram.. so the DRAM frequency is now 425 as 1:1 ratio.. does this mean my ram is now OCed?
im using a xigmatek HDT963 and the load temp is 55c, im pretty amaze with the temp as the overclock is pretty high.. is the anything wrong with the overclocking??

Added on December 2, 2008, 9:36 pmbtw, im still new in ocing..

-Edited- change the temp setting for realtemp...

just finish OC-ed my E8400@3.7 using Xigmatek HDT-s963, which isn't in the list yet... i find that it did overall a really good and reasonable heatsink as the temp is pretty low at load for a small Heatsink... there is still room to Oc my proc, but my ram limit me.. cant go really high on stable.. most stable is @3.7Ghz...

Livinzo / Xigmatek HDT-s963 / Tuniq TX-2 / Intel E8400 @3.708Ghz (23.33% Overclock) / 1.25v / Stock 92mm fan / 40 / 58 / Non- Aircond / Orthos

its pretty worth it... i saw read some review saying that it could reduce temp by 7c compare to stock tim, which is pretty much...
get it from rockrock / robyn computer..he sold to me pretty cheap...
i find that the paste is pretty difficult to apply, its more rough, unlike stock tim, smooth and easy to apply..

QUOTE(arct @ Dec 4 2008, 12:36 AM)
bro, u sure u using sd963 or sd964? cuz the pic u posted is showing a sd964 with 4 heatpipes.

btw tunix really could do that good? im having a sd964 now and im using the stock thermal paste it came with. (kinda hook the xigmatek hsf up to my rig in a rush and didnt order any other thermal paste cuz i need to go back hometown from my hostel that time),

my proc is e6750 oced to 3.2ghz (400x8); vcore:1.35, idle temp is 33-37 (depends on room temp), while full cpu stress temp is 59-60. no aircond.

so i would just like to know is it really worth it that i should get the tunix or just stick with what i have now. thanks!

Didn't realize i posted wrong picture(changed), mine is 3 heat pipes.. how much did you get yours?

I think there is branded thermal paste for a reason to out preform the stock thermal paste..

here's a site that compare branded thermal paste and stock, but no TX-2...

some tx2 review:

tuniq TX-2 is a good TIM, but personal opinion is the way how u apply the TIM is important, or it will get not much improvement.. nod.gif

i agree with what he said.. cause you cant put to much or to lil... too much will trap the heat there.. to lil the heat wont really go up to the heat pipe.. just a nice paper thin layer that covers the whole proc will be right... use the credit card method... or your fingers...
