you don't mind lag or resource suxker, that your own business mar...

what i said is kaspersky is quite lag, it really not suite to use in a p3 or lower spec pc, you don't mind lag because u using amd64, if you using a p3 system, you will say it in different way.

correction here. the lag was a setting error with my firewall. it had been fixed and no lag now.

i dun understant why people like to compromise when it comes to security. i think it is better safe than sorry. for me, i would mind if it a resouce sucker or not. i will use kaspersky as it was very powerful to prtotect me. what the point of having ultra canggih rig if so kedekut resource. But i understant u guys out there that hv low end pc or nb.

btw hivemy, im not using avg. so cannot help la.

err no offence here cpkid notworthy.gif ,
as i state, this is for me... i just want to let the user know la.. not condem other product. this is discussion.. there r other people in this world not mind about the resource.. so thats why i recommended kaspersky

but i also state that i understant u guys out there that hv low end pc or nb... u guys hv to worry about resource.. so dont use ma..
its as easy as that. ok.. no flame here wink.gif

what would you people recommend for
-lightest antivirus
-fastest scanning

i dont need those fancy interfaces, and super-power protection, just reliable one cos my pc is old and the last time my system infected is years ago..

so any suggestion??
thanks!

Its either F-Prot or Dr. Web. When it comes to scanning speed, there's no better AV than NOD32 (unless you check advanced heuristics). F-Prot maybe a tad slower but still pretty fast compared to KAV or Norton. I'm currently use F-Prot 3.16 on my p3 133 / 32 mb ram old PC, and it works like a charm.

u r downloading something (trojan) thats why nod32 is asking u to terminate the download. u initiate the download urself, or is it automatic?

Perhaps you should define what does it mean by "not so gud"
You can't expect much from free stuff anyway (I don't mean open source)
