I have preinstalled AVG AV when setting up my new rig. The technical guy at the guy install this in for me. I find it more handy instead of removing them and installing Norton AV 2002 which I have the license.

The problem is this keeps pops in my incoming e-mail message:
QUOTE
No virus found in this incoming message.
Checked by AVG Anti-Virus.
Version: 7.0.323 / Virus Database: 267.6.6 - Release Date: 6/8/2005
Is there a way to remove this at all or does the paid edition has setting to remove this message at all?

Thx in advance.

1. Open "AVG Control Center".

2. Double-click "E-mail Scanner module".

3. Click "Configure".

4. Under "E-mail Scanning", uncheck "Certify mail".

Thanks NickedAsy. It's working.

I'm thinking to get a new AV or to keep my preinstalled AVG. What's the best AV so far? AVG cost around USD$30 pretty light & cheap for personal but unsure if they're reliable (as in V-Database updates)

NortonAV update itself very well but I find it uses too much process.

Just get AVG/Avast/Antivir if you are not ready to pay anything for antivirus.
*
jst get AVG,Avast or antivir. These freebies has auto-updates.
Kaspersky is not a free anti virus software.

1. AVG www.grisoft.com/
2. Avast http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html
3. Antivir http://www.antivir.de/en/

the interface getting nice, but just like norton, can see cannot use, lolz! but kaspersky is better lar.

anti virus scanning speed: OK!
build in anti hacker and spyware: OK!
mail scanning: OK!
detection of virus: OK!
interface improve(GUI): OK!
resource: FAIL!

I have another question (doubts): my Thumb drive is writing slower than ever and I believe it was scanned with my AVG. Is there any setting not to let my AVG scan MS Word / Excel that is written/read on USB thumb drive at all? It annoys having to wait 5-10 seconds.

correction here. the lag was a setting error with my firewall. it had been fixed and no lag now.

i dun understant why people like to compromise when it comes to security. i think it is better safe than sorry. for me, i would mind if it a resouce sucker or not. i will use kaspersky as it was very powerful to prtotect me. what the point of having ultra canggih rig if so kedekut resource. But i understant u guys out there that hv low end pc or nb.

btw hivemy, im not using avg. so cannot help la.
