anyone share his setting for Garmin Mobile XT map/display/routing setting ?
feel like my garmin look a bit cacat and deferent with others , lol

ap come with Nokia Maps also , can install third party GPS software as well, like Garmin / mapking etc

i think he is using some other screenshot but FYI the arrows mean that there are data coming in and out of urphone~ hope this helps.

got my unit 10 days ago.

my verdict, its a so-so phone.

pros:

1 - good and nice finishing, very solid feel
2 - gps has very quick response when AGPS is switched on. under 1 minute.
3 - customizable interface, love the tilt effect of the auto screen rotation
4 - FM transmitter works great. GPS voice instructions can be beamed thru the car stereo even.
5 - breathing lights are pretty cool to look at the first few days, after that it gets annoying.
6 - changing the cover changes the theme. though a plus for many but for me, its juz an added extra.
7 - good price of RM1250 AP from renee.
8 - the 3d sound thing, is another added feature which i dont use.
9 - love the keypad lock on the top of the phone. very handy for me. better than having to press menu * all the time.
10 - TTS is great. love it when they read my messages, say out the callers name, or tell me whether my batt is recharging. cool feature.

cons:

1 - i hate the keypad. buttons are pretty small (especially the answer/end keys)
2 - 5mp but still quite a lotta noise.
3 - double LED flash still not close to xenon
4 - the ultimate in processing power. my god this thing is awfully slow.

*4 - to elaborate why its slow, i give u the most common feature i use. i switch on the FM transmitter. thats 1 application. then i open my music player naturally, and on my car stereo, the music begins. so thats the 2nd app. finally while driving, gmxt is definitely a must for me. so thats the 3rd app. Anything beyond the 3rd application, the phone will either go extremely slow or hangs. that includes the rotating feature, or the sms's or phone calls that come in. i havent even begun to use the flashy things from the music player to brighten up the fx for fear it will juz crash the phone alltogether. so by the 3rd app, i have to stop. multitasking definitely a must for me, hence this phone, not too great on processing power. i think its due to the lack of graphics processor or sumthing. i wish for more.

5 - power hungry device. naturally, which device these days which can multitask wont drain. but i'll still list this here anyway.
6 - i'm gonna add the hate the keypad thing again. this time its the joypad ipod thingy. only works for certain applications. best to test on your contacts list coz its long. if u turn (in this case its juz sliding your fingers around it) the naviwheel continously , it hangs for a sec or so every now and then. either due to lack of processing power or the naviwheel is juz insensitive.
7 - headphones they provided, is juz crap. better go buy sonic gear or sumthing for 50 bucks.
8 - slow to startup. i love restarting my phone every now and then to make sure everything runs smoothly.

pretty much a so-so phone. will aim for something more powerful with a faster processor or sumthing in the near future. for now @ RM1250 for AP, this is good.

compared to my wife's 6220 classic, this is worth the money and yea, advisable to get this than the 6220c.

what is the difference between tis phone and N78?? Is N79 using the same OS with N78??

ermmm not sure bout n78. but the n79 is on a s60 v3.

ok.... here is my personal experience after .... few hours usage (b4 handed it over to my boss)

1.Like the previous post... the smart express on cover its just sumthing extra, nothing great... since it is so smart, it will change the theme of ur fone when u change the cover...

2.camera wise.... so so oni. oso nothing great. ok 4 conventional shot... n82 is way way much better.

3.FM tansmitter is ok... u can transmit ur whole damn album.... but lack of bass... hissing sound become worse when receiver n ur fone is distanced +- 1m

4.UI is great... FP2... however... at times it slows down... I dun noe y though

5.GPS locking is fast when u turned on AGPS... otherwise, its a test of patience.. Forget nokia maps... use garmin or other gps s/w instead

6.As in previous post again.... the headset is a crap..... get urself a new 1..

7.Gaming wise is NOT recommended unless u have hard thumbs, mine sakit oredi even after a abt 30 minutes oni... but the games r great (both 3rd party sisx n ngage)

8.Sounds quality from the fone speaker is great... no "pecah" at max... but again.... no bass.... just like SE fone...

9.Auto rotate kinda frustrating at times... recommended to off it

10.navi wheel....? i find this like my no.9 post

11. files organiser is a pain in a neck.... well, maybe 4 me only....

12.no torch function.... u need to install 3rd party application. or on the light during "record" video

13.the fone is smudge magnet.... HIGHLY recommended to get a "comdom" , transparent casing or gadget skin wrap....

i guess thats all 4 now
will post more if i got the change to play with it again
