LP is the best, but the turntable and the LP itself cost a bomb.

Added on April 2, 2012, 9:23 pmThis is the most creative metal radio i ever seen.

Click on the skull to change playlist according to the genre. But the downside is no zoom out function of the map.

Something that caught my eye on that map is you can see the genre of hard rock, blues rock, psychedelic rock, garage rock originated from the 60's; punk rock and hardcore punk rock from 70's. Based on little history that has been explained at the site, those genre heavily responsible for the birth of many popular 80's metal genre such as thrash, death, NWOBHM, speed, doom, progressive, power, glam first new wave of black metal and plenty more. I'm not sure about the accuracy of the site, but it took lot of work and research to complete the project. Their resource, beside wikipedia are Encyclopedia Metallum and Headbanger Journey.

try this: http://metalon.org/?page_id=6

metalon radio link already posted several months ago by me. Recently, they're updated the server and changed the ip. Anybody who still save the old playlist need to download it back or just change the ip address to listen.

MetalOn Radio is online metal radio based in portugal and 24-hrs non-stop music of 3 categories:

The Heavy
(Heavy Metal, Power Metal, Melodic Metal and Hard Rock

The Thrasher
(Only Thrash Metal, from old school to “new school”)

The Brutal
(Death, Black, Thrash and Obscure Metal)

If you prefer to listen to local metal acts, you can listen to Trunasuci's Words Of Evil (W.O.E) Metal Radio.

awesome stuff man, always loved Sepultura.

And the thing you said about how after a while you just need that distortion sound in your head, i feel you man.

But, i still do love technicality, because somehow, complicated instrumental parts are just orgasmic for me biggrin.gif

Long live metal \m/

For DIO, i love Heaven and Hell.

A bit mellow, but who cares the album pretty diverse. With lots of guest artist.

This song featuring your favourite black metal vocalist; Vegard Sverre Tveitan from Emperor:
