guess, question.. whenever i close the lappy lid , while its still on , i notice it disconnects my messenger / logically it would disable its USB power. can we disable it? cause disconnecting my messenger would be troublesome.

hmm? I don't know so. you may look into the control panels. changing the function of closing and opening lid.

got the settings, but now got myself into a new confusion.

Whats the difference between hibernate and sleep?

As by default , our lappy sleeps when our lid is close , and when we seemingly shut down our lappy , its actually hibernating.

So should be change the hibernating setting to shut down ?

hmm. i guess change it to sleep? since you want your messenger to be on. being hibernating means shutting down your lappy but it resume the same session when you starting up again means it won't consume any power. but sleep do consume a minimum of power but everything is still running. correct if i'm wrong.

When you hibernate, all the current data is saved to your hard disk and then the laptop turns off.
No power is consumed, you can turn off your laptop and disconnect the battery.

Pros: Doesn't use power, resuming windows may be a little faster than booting up again (If you shut down instead)
Cons: Resuming windows not as fast as sleep mode

When you sleep, all the current data is stored in the RAM, then your laptop will be in a low power consumption state.
Power is consumed, must be connected to AC power/battery.

Pros: Resuming windows is very fast
Cons: Uses power, drains your battery.

I don't know if this helps; I encounter such problems only when I previously establish up a Bluetooth connection with a device (i.e Bluetooth enabled cellphone) with my notebook, at the same time when I try to establish a Bluetooth connection with the said cellphone, Windows prompt me for the Bluetooth driver.
Now, Windows is not asking for the notebook's Bluetooth module driver, instead it's asking for the driver for the Bluetooth enabled device that you attempting to connect.
