maybe it'll be release the second half of the year.. too bad for the rest of us who gotten the sxps16 earlier on... the diff between hd3670 with hd 4670 is around 3k points according to 3d mark06... but i wonder how much heat will the more powerful gpu produce since the hd3670 already producing significant heat ...

maybe and maybe not.. but oh well.. its hard to catch up with technology nowadays. by the time we get tha hd4670, a few months after maybe hd 5670 will be out.. just that i hope newer games don't get too demanding like the gta iv.. any higher than that, our laptop can't run even on the lowest setting..

Added on May 18, 2009, 11:44 pmbtw guys, which driver should i use to update my gpu? i mean the driver which give better performance...

ati radeon hd3670 average score 4375

ati radeon hd4670 average score 7620

both based on 3d mark 06

quite a hefty diff for a step higher upgrade of gpu

Wonder if it's possible to ask dell for a upgrade? Having the 4670 would be just perfect for the 1640 tongue.gif

I had tried upgrading processor from Dell within 3 months time after purchase. They will take back the laptop & send over a brand new one instead. I only need to pay the difference. Not too sure of upgrading the gpu though.

You need to call Dell up, preferably look for the sales person that sold you the unit or insist them to ask approval from their unit manager. However if the unit is more than 6 months old I think chances are low.

It depends unless one is a huge customer of Dell, then the success rate would be 100%. I know a friend got denied in upgrading the lcd albeit under warranty, let alone the processor & gpu.

Just look for a Dell sales person through their hotline & try your luck.

Hmm? No idea. Maybe install the new driver? Everytime playing a game, I made everything in highest detail =D While it lags only make it lower. But I'm pretty sure, I maxed out L4D perfectly.
