QUOTE(ozak @ Oct 7 2012, 08:48 PM) Just brought a kdk K14Y9 5 blade for rm255. Change my old hall ceiling fan after some sound coming out. Take 4x to dismantle and assembly back the blade in combination. After it swinging too much. Flow wind high and sound seems normal so far. Where u bought it? U self install?

QUOTE(RickOoi @ Oct 7 2012, 10:27 PM) I like KDK fan designs. I like both K14Y9-MP and K14X8-GY designs the best. May I know where can I buy these 2 models the cheapest? Top Ten Lightings? My existing National fan (not sure the model) though silent; if I switch to maximum speed, the whole thing looks as if it is going to fall on me any time and cut my head off like Final Destination movie. As weikee suggest, you need to balance the blade by switch each other the blade. Just like me, I take 4x to switch the 5 blade around in order to get the good balance. Write down the number at the fan body and the blade. Than switch opposite each other. On/off the fan and check the result till satisfied. Another problem is, the room size is too small for the big fan. The fan need over or equal 1meter from the surrounding each wall. The Stream of wind movement not steady and Air turbulence is created. This cause the fan wobble and noise. In this case, get a smaller diameter fan.

QUOTE(*CG* @ Oct 7 2012, 08:23 PM) Plastic blade? Is it made of ABS material? Not sure about this. It's Panasonic Baby Yuragi. The plastic blades were said to improve on the balance which is true but I think it also to blame for the lack of wind.

I guess that boil down to which design is more to my liking Yes, any Panasonic fan would be cheaper compare to KDK. As you can see, the material and model is about 70% the same but KDK more expensive due to sole branding and expertise in fan while Panasonic was too general products in every electrical items. Top Ten is definitely offer a good cash & carry price.
