Impossible can get 2 units for RM460.  sweat.gif

I bought mine from Puchong, RM420, 2 months ago. The problem is the fan isn't that stable even in low speed. I can see it's shaking a bit. Might be something wrong with the installation process.

Any idea what did they do to rebalance your fan?

Last time I had a KDK fan that was rebalanced by swapping around some of the blades.

I went to Houses Lighting to get my downlights and other lighting appliances. The light price is cheap. At the same time, the shop owner recommended me alpha fan V8 model. Looks nice but is it durable? It costs RM240 each.

Dont go for Alpha... The remote control very easily get spoiled. Better KDK or panasonic if price is not an issue...

i have 1 kdk fan and 1 euro uno. when i was shopping, all the shops told me that kdk and panasonic are the same i.e made in the same factory.

if you are looking for a fast fan, go for a 4 blade euro uno. if you are looking for reliability, 4 blade kdk.

4 blade is cheaper and faster. 5 blades just makes the fan go slower.

nope shakehead.gif

in my experience, kdk is not good enough
it does last long, but not long enough

my house ceiling fan have been changed (two unit, diff room)

contrary to your opinion, my grandpa fan (oscillating fan)
last longer. the motor still going strong, so many years until its own neck is damaged due to it age

i have very good experience with panasonic fans - wall and ceiling - so far none have failed (some now almost 10 yrs old). just need occasional regreasing when they squeek - that is all.

on the other hand i have bought some nice alpha metal fans and they cant be used. motor fail and all... they only look nice for display. really regret that i bought two at the same time.

Does that mean that remote control fans are not as reliable?

my personal opinion...

been using KDK at my mom's house since 1984
until now....
no problem at all....
just make sure sometime oil a bit the point where u think my get rusty....
and wipe the dust at it...
thats all....
so far....still in good condition and served us well....
the only prob is the regulator...
but not because of malfunction
the body of it...plastic..after so many years....
it becomes so fragile and broken here an there
we just change the regulator...and that was 5 years ago....

my current Panasonic 5 blades...and 3 units of KDK at my own house
so far so good...
work perfect....maybe because of there are still new...
bought in May 2008....
one of the KDK squeaky a bit last time
simply call the service centre...
they came over and change the blade...
no charge....
maybe because of warranty still valid...
