48cm, that is like 1 and 1/2 feet.

I was looking at Panasonic Bayu, think is RM 370+- each, about 10", But since now my fan area, ceiling height is >9 feet, i am looking at normal Panasonic which is only 12" to 14"

Added on November 7, 2011, 12:20 amThink not Bayu, maybe is Yuragi, or Nami.

Try "Top 10" at puchong, should be cheaper. Cause Legend sales staff also ask me buy there, Legend can't match their price.

If not mistake normal on panasonic are 44cm (17 inch)..http://www.panasonic.com.my/wps/portal/home/products/homeappliances/electricfan/ceilingfan

9-9.6 feets will make the fan look low cry.gif

This fan spec is good. Only run at 30watt with high air flow at 250m3. Lowest is 4watt. Not bad.

But price sweat.gif

Hi,
Just curious and need advise from "sifu" here,
For a living room, which fan (3 or 4 or 5 blades) should give a better cooling and silent?
And for bedroom, which fan (3 or 4 or 5 blades), also give a better cooling and silent?

If I am not mistaken, I understood that 4 or 5 blade will give a better cooling in a small area (not sure whether my understanding is correct?)

Finally, I bought and installed Deka X6 fans in my upstairs rooms with ceiling height of about 8.5 feet. It's not *too* bad. At least I can't touch the bottom of the fan (the middle part) without tip toeing. laugh.gif But I'm only 5'7".

ANy cut on the tube and leave what gap before touching (1 feets)?

My room was around 9.4 feets, if put the X8 (48cm) it only leave me around 5 inch gaps, is also will give me a shadow on my downlight (one of the room) as the plat too low sad.gif

I didn't cut the tube. Installed as is. I will measure tomorrow to see what is the total height of the fan.

9.4 feet shouldn't be a problem for any fan.

I went check out "Top Ten" for fan, is not really cheap. Is only few ringgit difference compare to Legend ss2. Not worth the petrol and get lousy service.

Machine shop can do for car propeller shaft, drive shaft. Which one do you think more critical? the fan or the car?

Hi Sifus,

I have a challenge for installing a ceiling fan on my common area which have a 45 degree roof (with airwell). The area is around 10x10 ft. Will it be ok to install a normal 56" ceiling fan? I am afraid the fan blade will be hitting the plaster ceiling.

Any recommendation?

I think the Deka X6 is only 11". So from 9.4', you still have 8.4' height. Should be ok la. For my case, 8.5' original height, with the X6, still need to tip toe to touch the bottom of the fan. So that's already 5" or 6" gap if I don't tip toe and I'm 5'7". How tall are you?

I think you need to get those simple fans that can have a longer rod so that you have enough clearance from the slope. Manufacturers like Alpha, Deka all sell longer fan rods. I think from 36" (3 feet).

Cant be 11", because the pipe itself default came with 1 feets (I measured it at the shop itself)
ANywhere, I will search and see what the secure level should be before deside it lol

Exactly the SAME problem i faced. In my case the fan is spinning very fast. and the remote is ok but the fan just refuse to accept the command.

I think these KDK fans are no longer as reliable as their reputation are.

anyone knows how or where to fix this?
