Most complaints came from their AC fans

Ya. Vannus and Alkova series quite ok.
Can ask ZeneticX as he is using Vannus Series.
I also bought haven't install yet. Avoid that D*K* brand.
Rezo brand I think quite ok also.

I already ban D*K* !!!

Can try Rezo also.
Heard from XHS said not so problematic.
But wise, I bought Alpha DC for new house setup.

What's your budget range?

Ya. Even myself hard to decide which one.
Baby fan series got KDK which is 44"
2" bigger than you wanted.

Since my sister's house very small.
So need to get smaller size fan.
3 blade fan? Alpha V3 got 40" / 46" model.

I also plan 56" Panasonic remote for whole house but 3rd room have difficulty to go in.

In the end I bought
46" Vannus Luna for Living, 2nd bedroom, Master bedroom.
40" Vannus Luna for Dining, 3rd bedroom.

It seems only panasonic fan has the option of Long pipe or Short Pipe
As my ceiling is low, other brands did not have the option to choose the pipe length?

Done fix up Vannus Luna in the 3rd room.
3rd speed still consider good if raining days.
4th speed is the best with wind.
5th speed and 6th speed will make the fan not so windy since due to small room.

Rest of the house fix later due to plaster ceiling installation later.

Hi Sifus,

Seeking urgent advise

Looking for a baby fan (40") below RM 350. KDK & Panasonic don't have models that meet these requirements, so I only managed to narrow it down to:

Alpha Prima
Vannus Iriz

Any advise if either of these 2 models are reliable?

Read some earlier reviews on the alpha Cosa series which were not great and the Alkova series is not worth the price I feel.

Another question is:

I noticed the VTouch JR & Sensa 5 has a Cut off safety device and blade safety plate feature in their specs but Sensa 4 doesn't have...is there a reason for this? Or does Sensa 4 actually have but they never list down? hmm.gif

Appreciate any input! icon_question.gif

My Alpha ceiling fan is not responding when I want to change to speed 1, but the rest of the speed is fine. I wonder if this is the problem with the remote?

Hi all, I read back some pages of this discussion but am still unclear what is the better fan option to go for. My current KDK AC type installed 10 years ago already started getting noisy 2 years back and now getting increasingly louder so I think it's time to change. I am a bit undecided between AC and DC. I like to stick to KDK as from what I've read so far, seems like other brands are a bit so so. My main concern is whether 10 years down the line will I face the same noisy issue. I have consulted a handyman before who told me that it's pointless to repair my current noisy fan and should just get a new fan.

My budget is between 300-500. Any recommendations?

KDK and Panasonic famous for capacitor problem. If you lazy to repair, can also opt for buying a new pcb board for fan control which would fix the slow speed and the wooong woong sound if that is the problem you are facing.

It wasn't worth repairing, I was told. Anyway, I surveyed a few shops and ended up getting Senza 4 as the price I paid was a lot cheaper than retail.
