What is the correct method to install the ceiling fan to avoid wobbling?
A)Assemble all part and hook to the mounting
B)Assemble all the part except for the blades to be fixed after the motor assembly hooked to the mounting

the difference between holding a 8kg 50inch wide object vs a 5 kg object on one hand while trying to slot a bolt with another.

hi wanna ask,

is there significance in terms of electricity usage for a AC vs DC fan?

e.g KDK.. both are already 5-star rated.. but prices are few hundred ringgit apart.. is it worth the price?

installing about >7 fans altogether.. so the price differences are significant.

The spec clearly says dc is 50% of ac consumption.

I replaced the broken Alpha Cosa Express 54" in my master bedroom with KDK K14YZ. So far, so good. After replacing the PCB and capacitor, the previous fan still cannot move. From slowing down to not moving at all. laugh.gif

For the other Alpha Cosa Express 54", I replaced the PCB and capacitor. So far, they have not slowed down, but it is too early to say as it has only been four months since I replaced them.

Earlier post by member also has many failures.

My Panasonic 4 blade remote no noise anymore since last post here. Hopefully it continue to serve me for many years. My regulator Panasonic 3 blade still going strong since 2017.

If you just need a simple ceiling fan with no fancy remote/function, I would recommend the simple Panasonic 60" fan which can get below rm200.

I'm looking to get 66 inch fan for living room.

Narrowed down to Elmark 666B and Deka+ Neon 66.

Price wise, difference of RM 80ish between these two.
Both has 10y warranty for its DC motor.

Anyone has experience with Elmark for this model? (I know they had recall for other products)
Or perhaps Deka seems to be the safer choice?

Just wanting to hear some opinion before considering it's price/value

Decided.
Bought Deka Neon 66 after deciding. With voucher brings the price down to RM410.

How about with DC motor? Is Econavi really power efficient compare to normal DC?

Find rubbish bin and terbalik the fan motor.
Mount the blades except one, on ground.
Climb ladder.
Mount the fan on hook.
Finally install the last blade in the air.

Trying to struggle with all blades in the air and the fan keep rotating everywhere hitting your head is not a good idea. The n-1 arrangement allows you enough room to struggle with the rubber bung and the bolt.
