hello, guys it is not about the fan brand, kdk, panasonic, national, alpha, elmark, deka or any remote fan has a sensitive electronic pcb inside, these pcb's can easily get spoilt or burst due with a small lightning strike...to avoid lightning stike our house earth wiring must be very good....before i made a new earth for my house wiring i was always losing my kdk fans for every lightning...my wireman hit down two long copper rod down the soil and connected a wire to my house mainboard, from there it has been 6 years and none of my electronics at home r getting spoilt...so guys repair your earth connection it is not because of what brand fan you all use... icon_idea.gif

Added on June 1, 2011, 12:37 amhello bro, I sell all the kdk fan caps and I also have what you want...do post me if u still want the bottom cap...

It seems like having remote ceiling fan is not so reliable and easily spoilt <5 years....

Better to get the regulator ceiling fan(no remote) and less problem...........and also cheaper...

but it looks ugly

i also had fan problem.. it spin slowly..remote control ok

according to service man...we need to change the head of the fan where electrical board control the speeds.. i think the board cost $50..depend on model..it is not expensive to fix..but there is a catch..if u ask them to change for u..that board..u need to pay extra $50..equivalent buy another normal fan

hi guys,

need some advise. Bought 10 units fan of deka brand @ RM128 each, frm avalon during home deco exhibition on last May at Stadium Malawati, Shah Alam. Yesterday we wanted to collect the fans and the seller told us the fan that we bought out of stock and he was suggesting to replace the same spec and design but different brand (i.e KRONOS brand). I insisted to have deka brand same as display unit during the exhibition. Suprisingly the seller said during the exhibition actually the fan that i bought was not DEKA brand but VEGA brand! Unbelievable!! I felt cheated. Moral of the storey, don't believe on the "cheapest" price they offered during the exhibition. There must be something fishy behind the offer hmm.gif

Anyone there heard about these brands i.e KRONOS / VEGA brand for the ceiling fan?

Been using Elmark for 5 years, and is starts to become slow, even at highest speed, can barely felt the wind. Speed 1 and 2, the fan is not moving at all. But after I change the capacitor at the motor and also change to new regulator it performs back like new.  thumbup.gif

Hi need your advice regarding which cap to change. I found
