Is there any ceiling fan that is shorter in the market? I have this lighting problem where the light is above the fan. Cause shadow blink. I cannot locate the fan as the mount is already fix.

Is there any solution for this?

From what i was told during visit to shops, alpha provides the best after sales service.

I oso visited Perfect livin last weekend, asked Rubine sales guy he mentioned Deka use china-made components while Rubine use Malaysian-made parts..which is better? i oso confused...

I've used Alpha (dunno which model) ceiling fan for 1 year & then kaput.
Bought 3, 1 kaput & left 2

Better spend your money on KDK or other models
Alpha seems not up to the standard

I am having exactly same problem like you, remote control not 'controlling' the fan anymore. Anyone know any chain stores are selling Elmark brand?

Googling tells me many have the same problem like us, and the issue seems to be with the fan remote receiver and not the controller. So my impression to Elmark is totally BAD.

I am having the same problem. Remote control spoilt, then I ask one of the lighting shop they said approximately RM60 to fix the remote control. End up I buy a new fan cz the elmark fan i bought previously <RM200. Just my 2 cents, NO to Elmark brand

Hi All
Elmark fan really terrible
After installation yesterday I turn on the fan and to my surprise one of the fan very noisy.
It sound like the motor is touching the casing and it sound very loud and terrible.

I got it at RM 190 and feel regret.

Update on Elmark:

From what I gathered from mutilple forums in MY or SG, it is either remote control or remote receiver on fan itself which is spolit. I called Elmark distributor and managed to ask them about service pricing.

On-site inspection: RM35
Remote control : RM55
Remote receiver : RM50

What I fear is that there is no guarantee that similar problem (or other problem) will happen again, and I stay too far from Puchong just to change the remote. So I think I will be buying a new fan instead (costs RM200++)

Just back from ECO Home Show at Sunway.

DEKA fan price as state at the price tag

Q8 : RM 399
MXL : RM 389
Q7 : RM 349
X1 : RM 399
MX3 : 289
X6 : RM 159
M5 : RM 199

Price can further discount base on volume...

I asked for 4 x Q8 / 4 x Q7, been quoted RM 2650...Is this good?

Added on March 20, 2011, 1:28 amOrder below at the ECO Show

DEKA

Q8 : RM 340 x 4
Q7 : RM 268 x 3
X1 Chrome: RM 350

total of 2514  rclxub.gif

But after ordered, been informed that those remote control type of fan need those specilist to fix and adjustment included on Balancing. As the way it fix not the same as traditional way.

Example: The motor part need to fix at the hook, than only fix those blades up, else it will be swinging and make sound after few days. Where the traditional way is fix already on group and bring up and hook.

The specilist will cost another RM300.  cry.gif  Is that true?

I have exactly the same problem with the Wing fans. Out of 8 units, 7 had the problem with the speed control (no LOW or MEDIUM control, only HIGH). I called up Wing and they sent a technician. He said that he needed to replace the electronic portion of all the fans (before he even check or take a look at a single fan).

And I need to pay RM60 for each electronic replacement, and I need to give them back the old electronic part. I asked him why need to give back the old part, he says it is their company policy. WTF!!!

In the end, I only replaced 1 fan and decided not to replace the rest. Lets just say, I will NEVER ever buy a Wing fan again.
