Keen to buy the Deka 5 blade 5 speed ceiling fan, but seems that the brand quality is not that good. Many people saying it doesn't last, and the blade putus very easily

You can use the short one - just spray with spray can to the brown you want

Just replace all the 4pcs bug brown capacitor.

Not any brown will do. Tried with Nippon spray Mahogany and was too light a shade. The other brown series for Nippon spray should be OK but I could not get hold of it. So I went for Anchor brand - Sparkling Black. Different colour but almost same tone so it did the job.

But alas, the 6" rod was too short to hook to ceiling hook. Original rod was too long, hence have to exchange for other fans. There went out my dream of hassle free ceiling fans for a decade.

end bought the universal remote control to control the fan speed ...

1PC always turn on the fan spining start slowing ...think time to change the capacitor ...

DC motor fan will definitely save more rlectricity than a AC motor fan.. quieter too.
The saving is not significant because fans don't consume high power like aircon.

Durability depends on luck.
DC fan has more electronics components meanwhile AC fan has the infamous capacitor issues (all brands).

Deka fans are shit. People buy them because they are cheap. My thinking is unless you are so poor until u can't pay 100-200 extra for Panasonic or KDK, there is no reason to buy junks

i bought 5 deka fan caused cannot afford to pay extra 100~200 ..these 5 fans ..3 are installed outside my house ...2 for kitchen ...

my living hall using yuragi fan...about 3~4year ..the fan become fixed Spining speed no matter wat speed selection ...end up need to replaced the capacitors to get it back to normal from speed 1 ~5 ..

If you can buy 5 deka shit, u are not poor. Could have bought 4 panasonic instead. Capacitor is last of your problem ... just be worry one day destroy your other things or worse hurt you or your family

Before I bought Panasonic/KDK, even the shop selling Deka advised don't buy because the horror stories of blades broken, speed mulfunction, etc etc. Build quality is poor.

I ended up buying cheaper Panasonic for most rooms and KDK for living room. I have 5 airconds which used together or alternate with fans

how many pcs of Panasonic kdk fan you installed ?remote or regulator control ? and how long has been using the fan ?

sometimes maybe the shop will recommend high margin profit to customer .when they selling more brands ...

I have 5 rooms and living and dining. 6 Pana and 1 KDK. Some regulator but mostly Remote control. You could be right but Pana and KDK prices are very competitive. You can check House of Lighting (Puchong) and most electrical shops and the prices don't vary a lot.

I must say I have not owned a Deka but heard bad comments from friends and shops. U can also read this thread to check

here i tell you ..my Panasonic fan turning slow no matter what speed ...one is 4 blade ..one is 5 blade ..both Panasonic fan ..
both used less than 5years ...

Hi to those who have Deka fans, anybody has any experience that when using at the lowest speed after a few hours, there's some sort of grinding noise. The speed is not affected but there's a constant grinding noise like friction between 2 parts. Any way to solve it?

Sounds like a Capacitor issue, last time old KDK remote control fan can last more than 10 years without slowdown, now probably like 3 years then got slowdown and making humming noise
