Hi, I'm getting a Panasonic Mondo 80'' soon.
https://www.panasonic.com/my/consumer/air-s...bkrh-vbksh.html

I know it's a big fan but this is exactly what I want for wider coverage.
It will be installed with plaster ceiling and the concern arises.

I knew most plaster ceiling installer may custom make a bracket with wood which looks insecure to me.
And the fan manual recommends a welded bracket only.

I google around and found this:
https://www.poecofan.com/product/false-ceil...pport-brackets/

Is this also commonly available in Malaysia?
I may buy this for the installer...

Hi all, do DC fans really save money vs AC? Which is more lasting?
*
DC motor fan will definitely save more rlectricity than a AC motor fan.. quieter too.
The saving is not significant because fans don't consume high power like aircon.

Durability depends on luck.
DC fan has more electronics components meanwhile AC fan has the infamous capacitor issues (all brands).

hello guys, currently am considering between these unit,
kdk sensa 5 , vtouch K15Y2-CO and panasonic econavi 60"
which is more recommended?
is 56" much different with 60"?
currently am using panasonic f-m15f1 but the motor failing, repair need around 4xx, so i rather get new unit

I owned some sensa 5 at home and a KDK 56'' standrd 5 blades remote fan at home.

In my opinion, the sensa 5 is driving more wind likely because it can spin faster.
56'' vs 60'' difference is negligible.

And we may forget about the temperature sensor in Sensa 5.
I can live without it.

Fan diameter factor makes more sense when the rooms are differing in size because the wind vortex diameter technically should be felt in a wider radius. Given a room's fixed size, if the smaller does the job just fine yes, no need for a bigger one.

Living room that are 4.5 x 4.5m to 5.0x5.0m, a 56" is barely perceptible at lower speed but quite perceptible at 60". There are now 70" fans from KDK/Panasonic for larger size rooms. What works best also if combined with an AC that can direct air flow upwards like the Panasonic Sky Series or Sharp AC with Gentle Cool (Coanda effect) function or Mitsubishi Electric with long (throw) mode to distribute and disperse cool air at a milder cool temperature e.g. 25-27°C vs 20-24°C.

Of course, we knew diameter will definitely help.
TS was asking if the differences between 56'' and 60'' and I would say they are negligible.
Unless, we upsize to 70'' or 80'' and that will make a significant difference.

hello, any ceiling fan recommendation for living hall of 15ft width, 11ft length and 11ft height?

Using KDK Sensa 5 60'' fan now but the wind is merely limited to the area right below the fan.

I'm planning to buy 72" or 80" ceiling fan.
However, it is using ball bracket instead of hook.
Anyone know how or who can make such conversion for plaster ceiling?
