how was the speed at Cheras? i stay near bukit anggerik.
the ping to sg stable or not? cos at night streamyx ping to sg can more than 2k+ms.

First of all, my location is Petaling Jaya (Not Sri Petaling) Section 17. My house is fully covered in the amax coverage area.

For my connection, when it's in the normal state, the speed is satisfied, i was able to get 0.9 ~ 1.0mbps speed (I am 1.0mbps student package subscriber). But the problem is, msn message always unable to send and receive normally. Second, the connection always suddenly down when I'm loading websites. I always need to refresh the page or even close all the browser and restart browser only can continue surfing internet. Third, for several times the connection just suddenly become very unstable. I check from the amax connection manager there, it repeatly connect and disconnect. Such situation normally lasts for couple hours. And most of the time I was unable to contact with the amax service center. Lastly, another situation is that after I get connected, I was only able to surf the internet "smoothly" for about 2-3 minutes, after that the speed became extremely slow and even not loading anything (even google). I need to manually disconnect and reconnect then only can surf internet for another 2-3 minutes time.

well huiqing88 you are not the only one with the MSN problem.. looks like I am NOT Alone.. My msn is the latest. problem only happen when using AMAX. and the connection su... big time NOW...

IMHO, i guess this problem only happen to USB modem. Are you using 1.0mbps package with USB modem?
I don't have this problem as i am using multiple user CPE.

Gary - I would like to report that Aman Suria / Bandar Utama phase 12 is also having problems !!!

The speed is only about 30% of what is used to be !!!

Kindly please highlight to Amax management about this, and get it fixed fast.

From what I can see from the postings this week, Amax is soon losing all credibility !!!

a cap is unlikely, the CEO, Datuk Abdul Ghani just mentioned no cap in the TheStar on 4th of August 09~

Just receive a call from AMAX CS about the complaint for slow download connection speed at my area (Bandar Damai Perdana, Cheras), but the answer make people very angry   , they say this is the speed for wireless broadband. I only get 700k~850kbs for 1.5mb package.
For those lowyat member have the same connection problem still didn't get any answer from them, hope we together send the complaint letter to MCMC Department for them to take action
